I seem to get better results when I push this slightly when rendering a clip in DAW, and uploading to a hosting site.

Are you trying to Vapor Trails, or a wee bit o' simmed tape/comp saturation?

Don’t pay attention to this. It only applies if someone is hitting a normalizer on their streaming app themselves. Most pro recordings fall somewhere between -5, and -10.
