A tribute amp which should never have been made, for someone who should just shut up, in a band who should never have been popular, chasing tone which should never be chased, in a colour which should never have been chosen.

It might be ok on a Vespa but you'd never custom paint your Honda Blackbird like that - same reasoning here.

I don’t get the Green Day hate of all you guys. In 94, they and the offspring were the first bands that introduced me to „handmade“ musik. They got the ball rolling for me with playing guitar and later playing in bands.
And I‘m probably not the only one, a whole generation started like that.

i still have my 3 ring binder from middle school buried somewhere ill have to dig up, its covered front and back with the bands i was listening to at that time.. its Zep, Sabbath, Floyd, most all the big grunge bands, Ratt, Primus, 311, Rage, James Gang and other random 70/80s bands. i never went through a punk phase, i already didnt like The Clash or Ramones before Green Day came out, i was definitely the odd one out with that though

His early tone could literally be copied with any distorted amp, and the albums that did sound good, only sounded good because of CLA

If you can’t tell the massive difference between The Offspring and Green Day I have to question whether you even play guitar.

The Offspring are 1000x better than green day, imho.

That’s not opinion Mike. That’s fuckin fact. There’s more chords used in any Offspring song than every Green Day song put together. Noodles and Dexter are both good guitarists who write creative progressions and Billie Joe, well, isn’t.

Not a huge Greed Day fan...But I can definitely acknowledge that Bill JA definitely knows how to write a hit song. That said...I am not paying $4K for a poorly modded amp. I have not been overly impressed with any of the Marshall "modified series" amplifiers, especially when considering the price point.

The question would be, how old you were at that time. 10 years in your teens or early twenties make a huge difference. If you were at my age, kudos to you!

I haven't even been motivated to try them based on the many demos that I've seen...Loose, blurry tones that lack attitude and aggression.

My 13 year old self definitely would have thought, as my 57 year old self does, that Boulevard of Broken Dreams and wake me up when September comes both suck in a big way. I remember when Dookie came out. I liked it. Until the radio overplayed it. And nothing they’ve done since is worth a fuck.

Ugh, yes. The radio way overplayed Basket Case. I do like his tone at the beginning of the song where it's just the guitar.
