I like them as a mod platform, currently have 3 all modded in various ways.

My first build was a Metro 1959SLP and it sounds amazing. I have a real 1959SLP, but it's not HW, still sounds amazing. Both are lifetime keepers.

My first real amp was a Korg era Marshall 1959. It was a great amp but when I got it I wondered where all the gain was at.

You take the 1959> send to @glpg80 > & watch him go:

In hindsight I do wish I had imported a few more of these to play with for $2k before the price hikes and tariff nonsense hit...

Currently 2599€ in Europe but found one for lower price and therefore thinking if to buy or not. Waiting for info on manufacturing year.

Yea and now past me has given current me gas. How is that possible
You're blasting that through two notes or something with no cabinet right? Most people would forget this and think it will sound like this through a cab without attenuation.

Yes very likely through a Suhr rl with a GB IR. I will say, with a fryette PS you can get there and go even further with the voicing switches and depth control.

Another idea is to try those super low sensitivity speakers that just came out. Forget who makes them. I’ve always wondered why that wasn’t done sooner
