Not for me. I don't need anymore amps, mainly just want to make sure that I'm not getting ripped off if I buy it for someone who might care about originality or whatever. That way I have more knowledge to haggle with is all. Kind of figured the cab isn't from the same period, mainly was just curious if the 100 is suppose to mean greenbacks or some sort of special edition or something like that. Thanks for the heads up! ❤️
no sweat. Any old cab I'm pulling the back, no matter what it's labelled. Many people take out vintage speakers put in whatever and sell it to unsuspecting stores or people. Some even replace them and return the cab to the store hoping they won't check.
There's just something about the tolex that looks off to me, so it got my puttin' on my "Hmm" slippers. :)

A trick for the cabinets is to take the handles off. Less complicated and you can use a light to see the backs of the speakers.

Not a big deal to check them out, more curious what's suppose to be in them is all. Guessing greenbacks?
They are old school, not GC, and will remove the back panel before I get there if I let them know I'm on my way.

Without knowing the age of the cab, it would be impossible to guess, but also just from the sheer factor of who knows what’s been put in their over time. If it’s from an estate, there may be a chance. It hasn’t really been messed with, but it could have anything from 70s green backs or blackbacks to 75’s. Shit, might be loaded with Emi legends or Peavey scorpions 🙂

What does the 100 stand for, do you happen to know? That's what I'm asking, not what's actually in them if that makes sense.

The 74 wouldn't be my choice not bc they can't sound good but bc the pcb traces are thin due to it becoming a process for production. If the price was to good to pass up then why not, and it has the matching cab.

The major is not for most with the output section being ultra linear and obviously this has to be a personal decision. In all this what kind of tones you are after.

Tell me more about the purple stack.

None of them are for me, but may buy as gifts, so just wanted advice on what to look out for so I'm not overpaying/ have a bargaining position.
Not personally looking at the purple stack, but it includes both cabs from separate pictures and is what I'm assuming a 1994ish Jimi Hendrix limited edition super lead set.
