For sure, i 100% agree and I felt the same way at the time. There's a million great bands that have put out great metal starting in the 90s when metallica and megadeth started sucking, you just have to find em.

I admit, I wasn't the biggest fan of Mustaine's voice for a long time. However, I've grown to appreciate him and his band more and more over time. On the contrary, I've been bored with every Metallica album since St. Anger. :(. Definitely a much bigger fan of early Metallica.
 
I've got to say when I want to put on some legit modern thrash neither one would be near my first choice. When I want new thrash my goto band is Testament.
 
Megadeth when I want some cool riffage. Metallica for more melodies. I love the old Metallica of course but it’s so played out for me, I’ve listened to it too much.

Yes, so why did you post those clips.
It‘s all subjective, but the high pitch singing isn‘t something I expect in a megadeth/Metallica thread. That „died“ for good in the 80s
