Yeah, the JP-2C is crazy good. The more time I get with it, the more I am realizing this amp is going nowhere. Even at lower volumes, I'm getting all the gain I need without shred mode. I would agree that I prefer the Buxom Boost to the built-in shred mode, but so far I'm preferring the amp with no boost. I'm enjoying everyone's opinions on this amp and the Recto, thanks!

I've had them all, for straight thrash I'd take a hard look at a Mark III. Especially if you can find a Coliseum. Then you can also get a Triple. And have it all.

Here's a kind of crappy Mark III vs JP test I did, but it gets the point across.

It really is a wonderful amp.

Sure it might not have that shake your house low end BUT I had an ISP sub at the time for that. I still can't believe how well it sat in a live band mix. Was literally perfect.

I did sell the JP2C over the REV 2 I previously had at the time and it was a tough choice but I will say the best tone I have ever had in my life was with the JP2C/Buxom Boost into the OS Mesa (which I hated with any other amp) and the kicker....A G&L Cantrell guitar that my buddy got for like $200. It was a shame I could not gel with the neck on that guitar but that combination right there had the most unbelievable tone that makes girls wet themselves.

Edit, I could agree with this. They are much cheaper used and sound great from what I have heard. I never played one but I know a couple of guys who swear by them
