Metal guys talk to me about Peters.

If you had stayed with that naming I would have suggested Leviathan lol

It like a Hydra on steroids
It's one of the biggest roller coasters in the word
It's in Canada. And. Your in Canada

Kidding aside I love the Firejack though it super cool as just a name
When you throw in the fact that Gavin has actually influenced some of the changes to the original amp
I think it makes sense.

Leviathan has already been used for some amps although not guitar amps, plus it's been used for lots of other products. Part of naming something that you want to be found relatively easily, if someone doesn't search by a very good string such as "Peters Amplification (channel name)", is that it should be a name that sort of stands out in a search. That's why I chose "Gryphon" and not "Griffin" (the latter was extremely common as a product or business name).

I know this isn't very serious as a suggestion but I did want to mention this because people throw name ideas at me all the time, when a quick Google search for the name reveals how "lost" person could get when searching for it. There's a name in particular for an amp that I can remember which was so common I'd see it all the time on almost any product (seriously, it got ridiculous how many times I spotted the name), including some imported chocolate bars at the checkout counter of the local dollar store. A friend and I kept taking pics with our phones every time we saw the name on a product or business, and sending each other the pictures. It happened so often we got bored because it wasn't funny anymore. :)

I'd also rather this not become a "let's throw names at the wall to see what sticks!" thread. The last time I did that, no one even bothered checking to see how common the names were or if they were used for competing products. Plus there'd be some yahoo showing up just adding "Peters" to the front of the name thinking that'd make his suggestions sound cooler. :) That got old fast.

While there is room for debate on channel names, it's obvious what the 2-channel and 3-channel amp configurations should be called.

JP2C (James Peters 2 Channel)
JP3C (James Peters 3 Channel)

That said, I am really enjoying my JP3C.

JP2C....Hmmm....yeah that name hasn't been used before!

How about using all my initials: JMP! That's another unique idea!

:D

Sometimes I feel like the Planet Express team...

Hermes: Oh, man, I'm inhaling these things! You guys scored some primo stuff here.

[Zoidberg eats some.]
Zoidberg: They're tastier than an unguarded penguin nest. What do you call them?

Leela: We haven't thought of a name yet.

Bender: They're tasty, right? Let's call 'em "Tasty-cles".

[Hermes gasps.]
Amy: Ew!

Farnsworth: No!

Leela: We can't call them that.

Bender: Why not?

Leela: It sounds too much like those frozen rocky mountain oysters on a stick. You know, Test-cicles?

[Hermes types something on a computer.]
Hermes: According to government records, the only names not yet trademarked are "Popplers" and "Zittzers".

Fry: I know, we'll call them Popplers!

Bender: Good idea.

Zoidberg: Oh, yeah, why not?

Amy: You sure picked it.

Fry: Swish!

Hey James,

This thread has been invaluable in getting a better understanding of your amps. I've just sent you an email regarding something very specific I'd like to have built. Looking forward to your response!
