More Friedman Jose...Metal?

Yeah. I dont need a modern amp to do nasty fucking tones.

Most of the amps that are "high gain monsters" dont sound as good as a slightly modified marshall circuit or a dual rec with a boost.

The right hand brings the goods. Don't need a circuit with more than useable gain

Considering when recording, everyone needs to drop their Madison Square bedroom/basement saturation levels for it to record right any way (including me). I'd say the Jose is probably right on the money.

I picked up a Jose recently and it has been amazing so far. It took the spot of my Plexi and offers so much more (I.e. every switch has a NOTICEABLE modification to the sound) the ability to add a gain stage with or without clipping, the great loop. The 2 presence controls are a game changer, it really works well with every guitar I own from tele to strat to medium and high gain humbuckers. Power section distorts really nicely and I can get a nice growl with my power station engaged at neighborhood friendly volumes. When I want a little more hair I like hitting it with @griff10672 's BE clone.

My only complaint is that it actually has a little too much gain at times where it doesn't cover that big Plexi clean as well without the Volume 1 and 2 nearly off. I would have liked a thump and NFB knob, but I understand that's not to Jose spec.

An absolutely fantastic amp, and my favorite Friedman so far!
