My God I love Iron Maiden

I think Adrian left them in the 90s and Janick took over. Apparently he's really close with the whole band from back in the early days, so it made sense to them. Adrian came back and they decided to keep Janick as well. Kinda cool of them. Although I like the original lineup best. I played in a Maiden tribute band as a fill-in a month ago..what a blast. Had like a week to learn 12 tunes..talk about cramming it in lol..halfway through they had a guy on stilts come out with an Eddie mask on..laughed my ass off.

"This is an English fucking flag & these colours do not fucking run from you asswipes"

Yeah it was hilarious..the singer comes out in a leather jacket with studded wristbands and a pair of his wife's tights on...He's no Bruce but who is lol..I had to sing the melody lines in most chorus's because I have a higher range. It was fun. But when 'Eddie' came out I couldn't stop laughing...always wanted to play some Maiden...

Janick Gers (whatever his name is) ruins it for me. I was watching a concert on TV the other day and finally had to turn it because I just couldn't stand to see that guy prance around like an idiot. This really pisses me off because I love Maiden.

This !!!

Last time i saw them live up in Montreal in August 1999, "Janus" was prancing around in his booties like a "Flaming Fruit Merchant"...

Solid player but his stage presences is the sucks.

yep those guys are great--I too wish Janick would just quit he ruins the live shows to me

Up The Irons!

Huge fan here. Definitely check out Dickinsons Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding if you havent yet. Just killer.

Big +1 for "The Chemical Wedding". Great CD - Been listening to it lot lately. I'd take it over anything Maiden has done in the past 10 years (probably more):

I am a HUGE Maiden freak from back in the early 80's!

I saw them last year when they came to Nashville. Killer show, very stellar production, it was by far the biggest production I have ever seen put into a show. Though I have not seen many bands of that "caliber," it was pretty awesome to see, even from the nosebleeds. And I'm actually GLAD that I wasn't up front because you could just about feel the heat from the stage's pyrotechnics from the opposite side of the arena...crazy. And as far as Janick was concerned, it was pretty weird that he kept going to the side of the stage to do some kind of weird splits? Other than that and Bruce's repetitious "Screammmmmmm for meeeeeee, Nashville!" it was pretty sweet. Definitely glad I got to see them before they even decided to stop touring.

Iron Maiden still kicks ass!!!    Saw them in 2012, 2008, 2005, and in 1982 with Priest on NOTB tour!!! They never have disappointed live!!
