I traded into this thing with a guy from Craigslist. It's an old Rivera Hundred Duo Twelve. It's a hundred watt two twelve combo. Get it? Get it?

Anyways, the clean sounds amazing through this thing, but it barely does metal without a boost, even with the gain boost engaged. It takes phasers like a champ though. Not sure what I'm going to do with it.

I KNEW IT! That's the one with the not-so-secret Pull Ninja knob! Best knob EVER!!! :rawk:

Seriously, though, Happy NAD! I've got the 60w head version of that amp and yeah, the cleans are great. It can get some decent rock tones, but yeah, no metal without some help.

If the cleans are good, use it as a pedalboard platform.

Alternatively, move it along and get another amp with the money. Life's too short and pedals are expensive.

I have a Suprema...I can never keep track of which ones have which preamp but they all sound kinda similar except for the Knucklehead.

Works ok for me with EMG 57/66. Metal enough.

You should run the big stones phaser into that because the toggels on the phaser will boots the tone on this since it lacks toggels. Congrats, that amp looks badass. Can you get it to OD by diming it? I feel like I'm not getting the whole story.

They overdrive. Just more the vintage stuff.

Congratulations.
I have a few combos. I love them and wonder what I am ever going to do with them.

Great for the Fender and vintage Marshall flavors. Build quality is excellent.

It's a crime they didn't wire that one out to the foot switch.
Yeah, it's footswitchable, but mine didn't come with the footswitch. I had the Knucklehead back in the day, and was always disappointed that the Ninja Boost was just a lead boost for the clean channel. I never used it.

I had the thought to make a cable for it, but it would take some engineering. I want to make a cable to go into the footswitch through the DIN connector, and come to a 1/4in jack to control the channel only. I would tie off the Ninja Boost and never use it, and short the Gain Boost to be always on. That's how I would use it, and it would integrate with all my pedalboards.

I did that the first time I tried it. I ran 5 different phasers through it (not at once), and that was one of them. It helped me dial in the Big Stones and get all the settings set right. It has a lot of knobs and toggles to get set.

I dimed the input gain and pulled the boost out and it still feels more like vintage gain than high gain. I'll have to boost it to use it properly for what I play. I even jumped the effects loop and did that trick to squeeze out as much as I can straight into the amp. I can use it, but it needs pedals.

I think that amp is a pretty sweet score. I'd def hang onto it for when you switch to tan cargo shorts to match your hi top blue suede finger shoes. Congrats on a nice amp BeZo.

Oh, but they DID... :rawk::LOL:
Well I'll be... My Suprema actually has an FS7, which I don't think I've ever used. I use it for church or for teaching and either way I don't have a footswitch hooked up. IIRC my FS7M MIDI module did channel, lead boost, and reverb. It may be they re-purposed the reverb line to be Ninja which would be a win.

If you think of a better name, I'll change it for you. :p

Hey, if you're not using that FS-7 footswitch...

Good score! I get a lot of use out of my S120. I use it as a stereo power amp quite a bit. Great cleans and 80’s-90’s marshally type tones.

No ideas for a name? Don't worry, shredi's got you covered...
