sadly the one I had was one of the really old ones....

I need to hollar at Doug at Randall, he's got Dimes old one, wonder if I could talk him out of it

Yep same kind I've got. Still has the original box and the actual receipt from the early 80s  They're actually pretty good EQs, only thing that sucks is they have no footswitch so they're just on all the time

wouldn't be too hard to get a new one and have it modded with a TB switch. ;)

True. I got a brand new MXR 10 band in a trade a few weeks ago but more than likely I'll throw it up on here for like $50 or something   I don't use EQs too much anymore, no pedals either really :dunno: Just the guitar straight in with a G-major in the loop. I like it simple :D

:D yeah me too for the most part, I'd take it off your hands, but I'm broke as a joke right now, between shipping the Mesa and paying for the other Mesa.....   trying to score pick-ups as well, well actually scored a few, gonna try out some prototype Eggy actives, and got some EMGs on the way, that I'll have to pay for later, etc.... blah blah blah.

BUT I can see the end of the rainbow, it's almost here. ;) only other thing I could see needing would be a Mesa Recto cab. after that it's all recording gear for a while. :) maybe a bass cab or 2 to match my Mesa M-2000.

I think the end of my rainbow is going to be here for a while, between all of classes I'm taking and this last purchase I'm tapped out....but the gas should be extinguished for a while   I bet you those Egnaters will be cool though, I'd be interested in hearing how they compare to EMGs

yeah, I'm curious.... should be fun trying them out. :D

Yeah I bet your GAS is gonna be extinguished with that amp your getting.... WOW!

Well, the trick is going to be not letting all the hype fool my ear. I have pretty high expectations for it so if it doesn't meet them (unlikely) it will go bye-bye and the whore game will be back on   I'm ready to settle down though so I hope it works out between us :D

for that price I'd have high expectations too..... the only amp I really gas for in that price range is that goddamned Cameron CCV-100.   I may as well be asking for Dimes Dean from Hell and Randy Rhoads' polka dot V.

  Well depending on what the Natas turns out to be there might be a few in the classifieds  I'd love to have Dime's DFH or Randy's V :inlove:

no shit, but I can't afford $4000.... I'd have to sell EVERYTHING I got including my guitars.

Yeah, that's true, that's what I did. I guess I'll soon see if it was worth it to me or not  Something tells me I'll miss a few of the amps, especially the MarkIII and the C-200

Thats kind of why I'm shooting for a 3-4 amp set-up. if ones not doing it for me there always another one around I can plug into that will. have a single amp can be frustrating to me sometimes.

I know what you mean, I'm in a limited space for the time being so hopefully this one amp can do it all pretty good without me having all the other amps. I'm sure when I get into a bigger space again though the amp whoring will resume   It's not over until you've tried them all.

I've tried most of what I've wanted, and pretty much know what I like, hence the list of amps I have....

I'm a big fan of:
Randall SS (of course)
VHT Deliverance, Sig:X, UL
Mesa, Mark series, Recto TOV, DC series, F-series
Marshall DSL (w/boost)
Titan
Mako
Cameron

most other things I can take or leave, I'm sure there's a few I'm missing but thats the main list of amps I've really gotten along with.

The absolute BEST amp I've ever plugged into was an old Marshall JMP with the Cameron Jose mod....fucker was AMAZING!!!

Never tried a Mako, Cameron, or Titan before but other than that we've got similar taste in amps. My favorite 2 amps I've owned personally were the D120 and the MarkIII red stripe. I've wanted to try a sig:x badly though since they were released

Very cool .....

I would like to try out a Titan myself. I hear they are similar to a Soldano with a bigger bass ?

I don't know if I can say there are groups of amps I like, but there are certain qualities to amps that I know I like, an others I know I don't like. All amps are just a concatenation of these qualities.

Right now, I think I am enjoying the Recto more than anything
