Yes saw that few weeks back, great news, finally.
I saw the record is setup to be released for Christmas; looking forward to it!
Hopefully he can tour to support it.

Joe Holmes.... the Vinnie Vincent of Ozzy guitar players! The guy is good, but Jesus, his 15 minutes were over 25+ years ago. What are we actually hoping for here?? Lol! Dude's a good cover guitar player at best..

Joe is an accomplished certified bad ass on the guitar and he also took lessons from Randy Rhoads. His right hand pick attack is ferocious !
Oh, did I also mention he has a Killer tone as well!

I would say his only mistake is after he parted ways with Ozzy that he didn't market himself whatsoever and just fell back under the radar .

Saw him on Ozzfest 2000. He was badass. Way better than Zakk. If he couldn't work that into success it's his own fault. I don't understand what you guys are hoping for at this point. He's obviously not driven for any kind of success or he'd have done it years ago..

I have the first Farmikos cd and it's killer so as a fan, any new music from Joe in this day and age is very much welcomed and I will be looking forward to hearing the new material because Joe hasn't lost anything when it comes to playing guitar.

Some good tunes from a good player.

Success.... what a loaded word... or endgame... looks and feels different to us all. I think Joe is fine writing and releasing his songs on his terms... on his time.. If he was chasing dollars, he could lead any classic to modern rock band he wanted and have all the 'success' he wanted. It's not his aim... He is a phenomenal player with a great vibe and mojo in his playing. He releases something... I'm in... simple as that to me.... and to no fault to him. Cheers

Wasn’t he one of the Randy’s?
Meaning an Ozzy guitar player?... Yes... he toured with Ozzy from mid 90's to 2000 if I recall... no real writing credits but that whole hodgepodge of Ozzy players in and out... who knows. As member stated above, he was a student and taught by Randy himself when he was in his later teens.

He was right after Zakk after NMT.

After Ozzy, he left the business to take care of his daughter. So, he chose to be a man of character. Which speaks volumes about him. He is a killer guitarist and a great song writer. At this point, I believe that he is chasing the same things that all of us original players are. Releasing music that he believes in.

Success means different things to different people. Obviously being a rock star was not his top priority. Does that make his work any less valid?

I will absolutely be pickup this album up, as the Farmikos release was chocked full of killer songs and riffs.

Badass, yes. Way better than Zakk, LOL no. He has not done 1/100th of what Zakk has done, whether career-wise or just on a guitar.

While Zakk is a monster player in his own right, but seems these days to stay locked in those same pentatonic patterns that he has used forever . I myself have always found Joe to be very unique in his note choices and patterns and you can certainly hear some of the Randy Rhoads influence in his playing , but with his own style as well.

I saw him with Ozzy and dug his playing. Would be cool for Charvel to release a model for him, but Charvel and others may just be focusing on youtubers these days
