I think I had the chance to buy that one from Shea, instead I sent in a donor of my own a 1959slp reissue. It’s one of the best amps I ever owned. I do wonder how yours sound though. Outta all the Marshall mods, I only ever owned a Langner modded Marshall, but this one is tighter and and more focused. Less noises as well. Anyway congrats it sounds like an amazing piece of gear.

Thanks man! When my spot in line came up, he gave me the option to go with this Metro, so I did. Then he began modding it and keeping me in the loop the whole time. I’m sure your SLP reissue kills. Years ago I had Fortin mod an SLP reissue and it proved to be a killer donor amp. I’ll get clips up of this eventually.

I'd love to hear some in-room clips vs. mic'd clips. I think all the clips sound pretty mean and they've been mic'd. For me, I get a better idea of what an amp really sounds like in room, even on iphone clips or whatever.

Heres a new video i just made this morning of a kit I've modded. This one has a 10k second cathode switch with no bypass ala JCM 800. Thanks for the love!

Yeah "old man" on yours is close to slo spec cathode, its on when the switch is up.

Yeah "old man" on yours is close to slo spec cathode, its on when the switch is up.
