Personally, I prefer BC Rich for blues, especially the Warlock, but the Mockingbird is pretty good, too

Joined the Heritage family today. My favorite local had this 2022 used and I’d wanted a Cherry 335 for quite a while. The Gibsons that had the neck shape I wanted were $3700 new. This had the same shape for a number that was significantly less. Was actually checking out an amp I was looking to get and left with the guitar, not the amp.
Not 100% sure about the 59’s. They sound good but I think I might want something a little more open in the lower mids and more aggressive on the EQ curve, not output. Volume rolloff is great and the tone roll off is also good. Nice and gradual.

As always, I highly recommend checking out Planet Tone pickups. Very open sounding.

That makes sense. That was sort of the logic for purchasing mine; I knew I’d likely put some more money into it, but it’s such a nice instrument & great starting point for the money that I’m ok with that.

Yes, Amazing bones. It”s not like we don’t change pickups and other things on Gibsons too.
