Oh No - I am not Gas'g for any amps right now - I think I am happy with my 4?

Dude, that is peace! To finally feel like you found your basic sounds is a good thing and I think you many people go crazy just chasing what they are reading about, what other people own, etc.

I always say with guitars and amps, if you have about three tones covered, that is all you need. I had a Fractal for years with all of these tones available. I used two core rock tones and occasionally dabbled in other tones but was rare.
You have seen all the amps I have went through, the two Soldanos have been here for a while, so there is my tone. The more channels or gain stages that are footswitchable the better, that is why I love the Astro. The Bogner with 3 channels and built in boost has the right idea, I just need to bond with EL34 tone.

I just got a used earlier version 3534 35-watter. Mine does have a separate gain control for the clean channel? Did they change that?
I was wrong, it does have a gain control, it just does not get gritty enough for me, even with the boost engaged.

Good group... the lowest wattage I've got is a Dc3 head/cab... I've been thinking about an astro until the first one I played was throwing issues... you dig yours? Cover all bases?
Mine is perfect and it is so versatile. 4 footswitchable galaxies (basically channels) that go anything from clean, to blues, to crunch, to high gain solo.

If you dig solid state for high gain, I implore you to get a Hiwatt Super Leeds 150. It’s the best SS amp I’ve had, and a total no brainer for $460 new.
I’ve had multiple Randall RG100s and Ampeg VH140Cs, and IMO it smokes both.
I’m gonna post clips and make a thread soon.
Please post a vid, the Laney Dualtop solid state is the best solid state I ever played.

Unfortunately that means you'll have to actually practice now 😕
I never practice, my idea of practice is playing more when I get new gear or comparing my gear, lol.
That is why I never get better, just better t what I do.
