Ola needs your help!

@Ola Englund I think I'll copy my one here (And I also copied it on YT) because it got lost among the other ones there and I put so much soul into it. Hi Ola, I've been watching you for 4 years and you're my favorite content maker on everything related to amps and guitars. You've influenced my worldview in many ways and even though I don't have a guitar, if I do I'll definitely rewatch your old videos. You're as big a fan of Dimebag as I am.

As for what to bring back or how to improve...First, about the existing ones:

1. Ola Learns Guitar, I think this is a very interesting section, challenging yourself, mastering styles that are not your typical style and overcoming your own limitations is always interesting. I'd like it to come back.
2. Tone of the Artists, the idea of mentioning a tone that inspired you or influenced your music and your growth and trying to recreate it with the gear you have is always cool, helps you develop your own ear and learn to think like another producer or guitar player and learn from them, I know you learned a lot for yourself because you are one of the few who takes mic placement seriously for your own videos. You can add a sub-section where you take a tone that there is very little information about or check out certain rumors from the forum, many people guessed about this or that tone.
3. Rate my Tone I think this is also a good section, helps you get closer to your fans, evaluate their guitar playing and advise them on something to improve their playing or their tone. It can also bring joy, because we love when our idol rates us (I think this also applies to Ola Please Respong). When Mark Morton made his video response I think it brought a smile to many fans.
4. Plugin Testing, I think this is an undeservedly forgotten section, because many people can't afford a real amp and cabinet and you forgot to review the Neural DSP Mark IIC+ and I think 4 months ago or more you promised to review it. STL Tones recently published a new version of Amphub, in which they recreated the Friedman BE 100 very well, it's a chunky and kickass release.

About the new: Let's think about it.
1. Well, for example, you can add a HistOLA section, where you tell some interesting story from your guitar life, something from the time when you just started playing the guitar, who inspired you when learning to play solo and rhythm, what guitar bloggers on YouTube you watched, who was the first artist you met in person, if this has already happened then sorry.
2. Ola Listens, you open Spotify or YouTube and listen to those bands, songs that you have heard about, have not heard before but never listened to and listen to them together with us. I don't know if it was.
3. Ola Mixes, maybe it was already in one of the categories, but you can make one where you take a multitrack of some metal song, famous or unknown, and mix it using all your knowledge.
4. Weird OLA Something strange but interesting, for example, there is an opportunity to reconfigure your guitar and do something strange with it, for example, I saw a guy try to pass the first level of some game using strings as a controller, a good and funny idea and I wonder how it would sound. But it requires a good programmer and I don't think you have one.
5. Ola Designs, you can make a section where you design a guitar or some piece of equipment from scratch, not so that it goes into development, but to train the brain, to inspire future Solar ideas, to bring out the inner creative personality.

I hope it was helpful.

sophie burrell...shes actually a phenomenal guitar player fwiw. very very talented....but then she just went on this weird onlyfans-esque side path where she was offering pictures of her working out and stuff. it was really really strange but hey to quote the late great bon scott....

"So if you've got the money, we've got the sound
You put it up and we'll put it down
If you've got the dollar, we've got the song, oh
Just wanna boogie-woogie all night long, yeah, boogie"

I've got nothing to add for Ola, it is simply too saturated a space and nobody needs to hear someone dial in an amp with a pedal the exact same way every vid or play through Dime's greatest hits. The whole thing has become desperate and pandering from all these youtubers.. he's a good guy though, no question.

Which leads me to Burrell. Yeah she has talent but she is constantly pushing and selling her sexuality with side looks and playing the camera. It is pathetic. Like a girl who always stands one way because she knows that gets the best pic. knee in, chin down, lashes out! Doesn't surprise me in the least that she would sell pics of herself working out. Some old creepers are no doubt into the fact that she's trying to look like an anime 12 year old and she is probably about 5' tall so it fits their fetish. As a father of 2 daughters, she is exactly the type of person I would NOT want my girls to see and emulate. It's ok to look great but sell your chops, not your angles or your average body. Hilarious in this era where girls ( and wives) go on about " girl power" and then they plaster themselves all over instagram with filters to get likes. It's like they can't make up their mind as to which matters most..substance or views. One thing for sure, they all follow the money.

I hear you on both counts man.

The selling your image thing, I personally think, is beyond weird too and a very wrong aspect of how society has put the dollar or money on top of all else.

As far as trying to make it on YT….way too fucking saturated. At this point most guitarists are spending more time watching people’s demos on YT and then arguing about it than actually playing. 🤷‍♂️

I swear to god sometimes I think I'm the only person on RT who actually plays the guitar 😂

It's good to know there are other people actually playing on here

Just gotta unplug sometimes and actually go and play…I mean I’m not reinventing the guitar with my playing by any stretch of the imagination but for fucks sake…we all got into this to ACTUALLY PLAY…not comment on YT vids or argue on Internet forums 🤣

Why isn’t the Member vids and clips section the one with the most messages. That’s the real travesty in all this imo!

I'll be honest, I dig Ola and Kyle. But I also dig Reza's clips. And Draven. And others. I miss the errrrl vids bigtime! I'm certainly not as picky or cranky as some are here on this forum. Truth is, people are different. Some are easy and some are not.

The guy has almost a million subs. For a guitar/music channel, that's almost impossible to achieve. I'm sure he's made a ton of money off his channel and he is probably doing better than 99% of people.

I am not easy...well, for you, i could be easy

100%. Same with studio talk vids, gear reviews etc etc.. people will tune in week after week as some sort of excuse as to why they can't record or do anything yet because somehow they need to wait for some gem to drop in the next video which will make them more creative or inspired. All any of this is doing is putting cash into someone's channel so they can build a cool looking "studio" which is probably a 5 x 5 ft section in the corner of their house with lighting, dark paint, a couple of acoustic panels and accent lights. Then they ask you to subscribe and sign up for notifications of course... then break out the " We NEED TO TALK" video before they post the " NEED TO STEPAWAY " video before coming back two weeks later all refreshed. It's just a constant stream of content for views for $ generation. There are a few channels which can grow and do the odd cool vid but nobody can keep you entertained and looped in forever.

I wish I could like this a million times lol

That’s why when I see YTers posting “I need your help”, I can’t help but laugh

So me spending time watching your shit videos to help you get paid is not enough…now you want me to ideate the content for you too…lol these YTers can fuck right off. All of them.
