I remember thinking the older version was more unique, but honestly it's probably been a couple years since I last listened to a clip of one.

Did just find this comparison, but this tuning is a bit lower than my tastes so not sure I'd consider it a good comparison (unless this is more your speed)

The v1.5 update reduced unusable sub-low frequencies to improve transients and created a tighter, more percussive bottom end. It also introduced a more reactive midrange with more "dimension" and revised high-frequency harmonics for a more musical sound.

Was never a fan of tuning the guitar to Z minus.
