Got mine on Ebay, "best offer", significantly less than standard pricing.
I know that the RV50 sounded great at very low volumes. I'm sure the mini RV does, too.

Got the amp in, and after replacing the red-plating power tubes...

This amp rox! Captures the RV vibe for sure.
Sounds great at lower volumes. Better at higher volumes. Smaller sonic footprint that the EL34s, but when the el84s start overdriving, sweet!
Great lil amp for home jamming.
I'm taking it out to a friend's tomorrow to see how it sits in the band situation.

The lil amp held up ok with the band, a drummer, bassist, and another guy going from keys to guitar. Didn't quite cut it when the other guitar player blasted his sf Bassman through a 4x10 cab with the treble cranked. We were too loud at that point, for house jamming in this little room. I hate when people keep turning crap up to the point that no one can hear what's going on. Anyway....

The Root Terror is thick. Delays and an eq for solo boost worked well in the loop, took pedals in the front like a champ. An od to tighten and brighten things up, wah, phaser...
Don't think I'll take it to the next jam with a full band. It's great as a home/recording amp. Get's all of those great RV od tones at decent volumes, for much less coin. I'm really liking putting the amp on the brink of distortion and hitting it with pedals for slight volume, big dirt boost. Fun amp!
