Is that Terry Glaze singing? I liked his later work with Lord Tracy, too.

Phil was great on power metal and CFH

they just fucking suck after that

1st: Far Beyond Driven
2nd: Trendkill
3rd: Reinventing the Steel
4th: Vulgar
5th: CFH

The Great Southern Trendkill would be number one if it sounded better sonically. Far Beyond Driven just hits harder.

i was hoping it was going to be this banger (hot and heavy!)

1.Vulgar :perfect
2.Trendkill: nasty
3.Far Beyond : really pissed off
4.CFH: best solos ever
5.Reinventing : Terry date mix is better

Not the biggest METULZ dude here. Recently did a deep dive into Pantera's collection. I have to say, Revolution is my Name is EPIC. Holy Shit what a tune. Total Sabbath influence....but just a fucking anthem.
Cowboys is my fav album since I've listened to it since forever but Reinventing the Steel is pretty killer. The others too.

That’s a good way of putting it. The cool thing about their 10 year run is that you can almost look at each album as a different style rather than which is better or worse.

My experience was enjoying the 1st 4 “normie”albums of Metallica and having someone tell me to try Pantera one album at a time in order and I stuck to it. CFH made me look at the guitar differently. Not just casual instrument anymore. When I eventually went to Vulgar Display or Power it was finally that break away from Metallica being the best. Then having the next two evolutions Pantera did in sound opened me up to the idea of heavier bands and everything changed for the good up until the Djent Youtube metal guitarist era

I rate them like this:

1. The Great Southern Trendkill
2. Far Beyond Driven
3. Vulgar Display Of Power
4. Cowboys From Hell
5. Reinventing The Steel

I think Treadkill sounds great, it has a great atmosphere to it. Their best song is obviously "A New Level" though. That song levels buildings it's so heavy.
