So I've been hunting and watching sites religiously this week. Had a mint Patent Pending Goldtop PV Wolf offered, but the price was a bit high and I just couldn't pull the trigger. Offered what I thought was a fair price on the one thats been on Reverb a while and they wouldn't budge much.
Right after I passed on those 2 a 2011 EBMM Axis Tribute Goldtop came up on GC for 1400ish. I thought...why not, I can always return it. Snagged it and should have it Monday.
Kept watching Reverb and GC for the PVs, which was probably a bad idea. As luck would have it a mint '97 Goldtop Wolf std popped up this morning at a much better price to start. Made an offer and got it.
I'll have 2 new axes next week and I am stoked to have an opportunity to play both and really figure out which I like better. Or maybe I'll hate em both? The Axis can be returned and I don't think I would lose much if I decide to flip the PV.
Now I just have to figure out how to keep 2 new guitars from the wife. I had the GC one sent to the local store so I should be able to sneak that one in. With any luck I can be home when the PV arrives and get that stashed some place it won't draw attention.
This could be worse right? I could be hiding women or substance abuse or some other forbidden thing??
