Played a 5150 III 50 Watt Last Night

I just ordered one off AMS...Black models are in stock. The white ones were last night, but this morning they were sold out. New expected shipment on Monday.

I ordered my black one from AMS last Friday, and it was backordered...they didn't get enough in to fill the backorder this week. I saw today that the website showed they had them in stock, so I called and they said it was a mistake, that they were still backordered. Post back here if yours ships on Monday so I can call back and tear some ass if mine doesn't

Man, I hope it gets out this week...I was hoping to have it for shows this upcoming weekend.

Just checked AMS again and it shows both black and white as pre-order status. the white says expected arrival date of 2/13, but no DOA for the black...This morning it still was showing black as in stock, and it was in stock when I ordered Saturday morning as well. Black and white were both shown as in stock on Friday.

I had one on order up here at Long & McQuade since early Dec...but the heads aren't coming in until late march and then the 2x12s in late April or May. Screw it....pass....I have a bunch of gigs and needed it sooner than that. I'll wait until next fall and grab one from someone who doesn't want it anymore for less. I picked up a used Stiletto Ace combo for 700$. Perfect condition, no issues....does the job for the time being. This looks like a great amp but really, they introduced it last year in Namm and it took them almost a year to get them out there. Fender really need to work on the production to back the hype and advertising.

I ordered three months ago also and mine came yesterday. Did they send you a notice awhile back saying theywere still on backorder but if you did not contact them in 15 days the order would be cancelled? Did to me a few weeks ago. When I called they said they were shipping out this week.

Just an update...I talked with someone at AMS twice today. Earlier they told me they had 5 active orders and only 3 heads in stock...They just updated my status to "backordered" so I contacted them again. They told me they have 2 active orders to fill (which I'm assuming covers the last 2 referenced in my first call), with 6 heads expected to come in...And the heads due to come in were expected last week, lol. The girl said their arrival dates have been a few days off from their expected dated. Hopefully a "few days" isn't a month.

Hopefully what the girl told me is true. She said they've been arriving a few days past the estimate and last week's amps came either on friday or today...And they have another 6 due early this week with 2 people waiting (me and one more)...So maybe if I'm lucky it'll ship late this week...I hope! Most other sites are listing a mid March ship date

I just placed my preorder for one at Musician's Friend and was able to get 20% off for a grand total of $799.99 shipped! I called and told them the code...they eventually asked me the website I found it...on hold again while she got authorization from a supervisor, she then came back saying it was approved!

Right now on their website, it says they are suppose to get them in on March 14. But, the salesperson said that it really is up to Fender. So, I'm in no big hurry....if it takes up to a couple of months, it's all good. They said they won't charge my card until the amp ships, so that's fine by me.

Just cancelled my order from AMS and tried the MF coupon...My rep couldn't get the wintersale1 to work and said EVH was excluded. She said the best she could do was 15% off, so I took it. I know I'll be waiting longer from MF than AMS, but I saved 150 bucks...so it's worth it I suppose. I already have the 100 watter, so I guess I shouldn't complain!

The rep I spoke with said they are "due" 3/2 or 3/4, I can't remember now...But she did say that's really up to the manufacturer. Wierd that AMS is supposed to be getting them this week and not MF. I would have thought MF would take precedence seeing how they are bigger (I'd assume)...or I guess the AMS people could be blowing smoke.

Got shipping notification and a tracking number...it's on its way! So about 9 days from order to ship, got 10% off, no sales tax, and AMS let me break it up into 3 payments with no interest. That's a win for me

I played with Robin Thicke. It is airing tonight (Valentines Day). It was so cold out I couldn't feel my fingers lol!!! The amp sounded great but lets see what happens when it airs. I was gonna play the Wolfgang but there were some ground issues that we could not fix for some reason. I snapped a pic right before we played...
