Hell...yes I am

DSCF4115.JPG

I mean, there's still GAS for stuff but I'm completely happy with this little corner...

I'm probably like most other gear heads out there...
I have my go-to gear that I am satisfied with and can rely on day in, day out.
I just keep buying stuff because of either 1) GAS or 2) just for the sake of trying stuff out.
Because really, all I need to be happy is:
LP>BBE Boosta Grande>Blackstar HT-Dual>Peavey Triumph>7band eq>digidelay>Avatar 2x12 w/ g12t75's
I don't NEED anything else, I just have to feed my inner child with MORE, MORE, MORE!

I'm pretty happy with my rig at the moment. Gibby LP w/Alnico II Pros -> Rivera KR100 -> 2 EVM-12L-loaded vert 212 cabs. I might pick up a G-Major II or GSP1101 for effects, but what I have now has done me well.

I'm totally satisfied with my gear but It would be cool to get a custom 2x12 cab that matched my white 5150 III cab to bring to smaller shows. I think an Earcandy custom cab might be in my future.

For the most part..... I need FX. (go figure I'm a mod for an FX company  )

Plus I want another bass rig. I want an original SVT and matching 8x10.

other than that, not really anything I NEED, just some things I'd like to have. :D

No, its still not even close to being finished. Though my tones are awesome, I need more shit.

For example, another amp for cleans/different flavor would be nice. And I want another guitar with a neck pickup, probably a LP style guitar, for versitality. Maybe a few pedals, and some recording gear would be nice too.

Almoooooooosssst there.

I like the XTC but it just falls short of having that vocal sound I want.

My Lonestar has the vocal tone I want but just falls short of having enough gain.

I like both amps...but no cigar. I don't know is there something in between those two amps?

Mark IV's are said to have very vocal-like leads.

I've got a Mark IV. I actually like the Lonestar more.

How about just boosting the Lonestar a bit?

Yeah, I am boosting the Lonestar and it sounds really good...'just not quite enough aggression. I mean, I can live with the tone and like it and record with it. But "totally" satisfied...not really there yet.

Yup. Don't get me wrong, getting new toys is fun. But yeah... after a while everything sounds the same and you keep the gear that has mojo. LOL! :D

Actually, I have a pretty good idea of the tone I'm after. Somewhere between Andy Timmons, Steffen Schackinger(recorded stuff), Steve Stevens and me.

Lately, I've been thinking about getting a Marshall of some type and having it modded to get me where I wanna be.

Well Timmons and Stevens have pretty different tones IMO. You already have Timmons. Stevens is a Marshall. Lots of upper mids. Not sure about Steffen Schackinger. Haven't heard him.

I agree, Timmons is NOT the same as Stevens. I like the sweetness of Timmons' tone and the aggression I hear in Stevens' tone. Schackinger is a bit closer to Stevens IMO. Like I wrote in another thread, if I could blend the Lonestar and XTC blue channel I think I would be close to what I'm looking for. I really think the only way I can get there is to get a Marshall (JMC 800 or SL) and have it modded.

For Timmons you have the Lonestar.
Stevens get a Master Volume JMP or a 2203 and an OD pedal. You may not need it modded.
