Seach over . Best recto I’ve found

It sounds like they recorded the drums, sped it up, recorded the guitars, and then slowed it down again.

Every time I hear shit like this is makes me sad that this was the soundtrack of my youth. It was truly music to kill yourself to.

And I like rectos. A lot. Especially multi-watts. They're like SLOs with much better features but a cheesier power section. But that sounds like crap.

The main stream originators of the drop whale fart tuning. I love this track.

This is horrible, especially compared to the earlier soundgarden shit that had a lot more groove and progressive influences

Compared to "jesus christ pose" this sucks

Amazing record
its great start to finish. crushing tones too.
i saw them live on that tour in detroit in like april 2000. there was like 4 rows of people there, and that was it. i remember one of the nu-metal bands that were local openers even made fun of the crowd with a "mullet" comment.

horrible, horrible time for metal in america, unless you were methed out, braided and pierced, and sang about "jumping the fuck up".

My conclusion will be hated . But it’s what I think sounds best

I get the joke but also this is a cool track I've never heard before. So thx And I don't think it would be as good with a less broken tone

I always loved this song but I remember my friends from back then making fun of me for liking it.

All soundgarden sucks after Outshined.

It was then that I realized AIC and STP were the better bands.
Hard disagree.

The entire Down on the Upside album is insane, and artistically, imo, light years ahead of anything STP did after Tiny Music.

The album is way less over produced and rawer than Superunknown. Less gain, less fx, less mud. It's a different sound, but gain level wise it's back around the same range as the guitars on Ultramegaok. The songwriting is amazing, the guitar interplay between Cornell and Thayil is next level.

To me it's a perfect album start to finish. It takes you on a ride, and should be experienced as a total piece of art. Badmoterfinger and Loud Love may have more banger songs, but DotU is one of the best hard rock albums ever imo.
