So NAM A2 is shitting all over everything and I'm here for it.

Run Elden Ring on a tablet or a phone, I dare you, I double dare you 😂

There is actually something i just realized that may be a bit offtopic, but may be relevant. When i make presets, because the EQ is essentially fixed, when i play with a different guitar, it sounds bad.

I wonder if this is some of what is happening when one person tries another's preset
This is an enormous, totally-fucked-up downside for most users. Real amps are not tied to one guitar to sound good.

Yeah. I am not saying this is the case with all of them. But I definitely EQ my own to my guitar..

FPS on a PS5 is heresy. It’s borderline gay.

I used to play Apex when I had a gaming pc. You can’t impress me enough, I have the permanent Apex Predator trail and Heatsink for Flatline 😂

Friggin Aimbot.…... 😂

I'm at close to 5 million damage with Wraith, highest Ive gotten is Diamond as a solo but before the new way they set up lobbys together I'd eat Predators like you for lunch...... Okay not really but I could still hold my own and pull of wins against Pred lobbies back in the day. Hats off and good stuff 👍

I only say this because I care. You need to get off rig-talk and focus on your studies. Your grammar is shit, your maths is flawed. You need all the help you can get

So true. He does not belong nor fit in with the main Rig-Talk forum. No one likes him in OTC either, but at least that forum fits his bullshit a bit better. He can fuck right off to sevenstring for all I care. :dunno:

I own several laptops, tablets and phones but no NAM stuff so I'll shut my pie hole now.

I don't fit in anywhere here either. I guess that's why I don't mind the-kid.

True. Drywall was the biggest pain of it once you've framed the room out. I never want to try and overlap seams and sand drywall again lol
I had an idea to cut a few 2' strips and blow foam insulation in the walls and then blow in insulation in the attic to ease the drywall repair. But even that is a bit annoying

Yep and it likely wont yield much in quieting down your amps for the effort. If you have the room and can build staggered studs, you can throw on 2 layers of 5/8" drywall that would be separated from the exterior walls and reduce sound transmission. For the ceilings you could either do those isolation clips or drop the ceiling on the new frame and then do another layer or 2 of 5/8". A good solid core door with some weather stripping and you'll have a pretty solid room. A few corner bass traps and some other light treatment and you should be able to push some volume in there without shaking the walls in the rest of the house.

Yeah. It would cool it down enough for me to play during the day without blasting the family. I have thought of doing interior walls with the air gap and losing a bit of square footage, but that becomes a very expensive undertaking, and I think of just building it from scratch when I build my own house in a few years.

I have framed 100s of houses and thought of what I would do differently. Now being a plumber, I constantly think the same thing (how i would plumb it were it my own house). I have done every trade except electrician. I repair all my electricity in the house, but I would have to read a book or two to get down figuring the load

The NAM captures sound and behave almost identically to real amps.
For example, take your favorite tube amp, load it down, and take the line level to an audio interface and run it into an IR and then out to headphones or monitors.
Now you tweak your gain and EQ controls to where they sound good with that guitar that you've got plugged in. Now, go and grab another guitar which I'm assuming will have different pickups and is made of different materials. It may now sound drastically different from the original setup guitar. Les Paul's with PAFs are way brighter than a super Strat with a JB or a Super Distortion.
You can make EQ and gain adjustments on the NAM profile but it's kinda like using the EQ on the channel strip of a mixer, it's not like turning the amp knobs.

Fair enough. There seems to be some disagreement how good the EQ is. Since I don't have one I'll defer to those who do.

I think the NAM2 captures are another good alternative.

But for me, a modeler allows me to express my personal tone better. I'm sticking with my FM9T. At least for the foreseeable future...
