TSRTS version of title track and Rain Song are some sort of benchmark for me. Just incredible. The double neck had a nice tone too...actually tones.

I don’t try to play it. Just listen and enjoy ?

Just for the heck of it, try tuning a guitar that way and then strum it a few times.

If you can do that and NOT want to keep learning the song I'll be very surprised.
You can see in the video above that open ringing strings is a huge part of the whole thing.

RAIN SONG VIDEO

HA! The guy's comment on his own video:

Hey, I got a thumbs up! Bet it was for my singing, ha, ha! Even my mother said after seeing this, "can't you find someone to sing and maybe play a drum?" Seriously, she said that!

Self deprecating. I like him!

- Kashmir - wtf style is that exactly?
I always saw that song as Doom/Stoner meets Big Band

And I Love Love Love Physical Graffiti. The Rover? Are you kidding me?

And of course IV is full of hits (that I love), but there is something really special for me about 'When the Levee Breaks'

You using the correct tuning?

(low to high) D G C G C D
It's actually not very difficult using this.
Never tried to learn it but decided to give it a go. I just looked at a tab and it says he used a different tuning live, a whole step higher ("Good luck Robert!").

Think the last open tuning I tried was stones for honky tonk woman. Had a fun jam that night

Speaking of nerves while playing, watch the pinky of the guy's fretting hand in the video
above right about the 9-10 second mark. Dude's shaking like crazy inside!

He also makes a pretty big clam during the ending but he doesn't miss a beat and you'd never
know he messed up based on his face or body language. That's the way you do it!
