https://legacy.mesaboogie.com/support/out-of-production/king-snake.htmlSo if you was gonna buy one amp for Santana tone, and already have a Twin, what amp?
I been looking at some Mesa MkII series and every knob says pull bright or pull shit or pull lead or gain boots above it. That seems like something that would be complicated....
My old man has a MESA V-Twin pedal that he's lended me for years at a time, I could ask him to borrow it again. It's main deficiency is it only has one gain control and EQ set. I might be able to work around that with my current rig though. Truthfully I could probably use my LP copy and the rig I got now and get fairly close.https://legacy.mesaboogie.com/support/out-of-production/king-snake.html
This one absolutely. Beyond the Santana stuff it's one of the best amps Mesa has made.
Basically any Mesa Mark series amp can ballpark the sound. Mark IIB would be a good one. The Mark I reissue.
You can probably get s pedal from Wayne that gets you close enough.
How is the band going? You nailing down those Carlos licks well? For me music is a moving target. Influences are all over the place. My wife being Latino I hear a lot of international music. She loves flamingo and classical.
I did get a laugh when social media tried to sell me Carlos shoes. They know me better than I know myself.
I have been working on and off with this bass player and drummer since 1994. Santana was three weeks ago. We are just having fun. There is no goals. We improvise new songs live. Bass player is a stand-up comedian for a living. Tours the country. The band is just a extension of the show.My old man has a MESA V-Twin pedal that he's lended me for years at a time, I could ask him to borrow it again. Sounds like a good time tbh. Wish I could get my band together for more rehearsals, that's my favorite thing to do. Learn more material, jam, and no audience to impress. Me-time. Everyone is busy gigging though and when we been able to it's just for demoing out new originals or tracking parts.I have been working on and off with this bass player and drummer since 1994. This is a song I wrote two days before this show. It's pretty typical of what we do.
No. The Seattle live music scene is long dead. Twenty years ago we still played out several nights a week.Nice Stephen. You guys gig a lot?
There is live music here but a lot of it has been taken over by tools on a stool or shit bands just doing Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Steve Miller, Sublime....and whatever other heavily overplayed covers you can think of. I've still got a few gigs but it's more spartan the past few years so I've started branching out to some other areas.No. The Seattle live music scene is long dead. Now it's get together every week and drink a few beers. It's a lot cheaper than therapy and more effective. We make a point of raw improvisation being a big part of it. No music style or material is off limits. Last week was Black Sabbath and Funkadelic. Amazing Grace.
Where are you at ?
