Looks like a nice home for sure.
Steve is amazing, he and his family well deserve the success he's had.
He read Steve has been living in San Diego since last year at least?

Who isn't these days? A beautiful state that Newsom's run into the ground. And that dipshit mayor that damn near let her city burn to the ground. Those poor bastards still can't get permits to rebuild their homes! SHITHOLE state, with incompetent leaders. I hope Hilton wipes the floor with those losers.

I escaped in 2022. Been back a couple times since then. It's sad.

There's a lot of cool things about LA and that is what has always made it special. I'm not denying that. We left in 2025, and despite all the problems of LA, there are some things I miss about it. I guess that's why it's a sore spot for me because I truly believe it could be a whole lot better if some things were different.

Sorry, I wasn’t referring to specifically Nashville, just the vicinity. I’ll be heading down there in the next month to explore the territory. I’m not interested in living in Nashville. I deal with enough of the hustle and bustle here in Chicago and I’m looking to get away from that
Good luck on the move.

It was a lot better -- for a long time. I lived up in the Sacramento area and to me Sacramento was always a shithole. It just got to be a bigger, more expensive, more crowded, and hotter shithole. There are 3 times the people in the greater Sacramento area then there are in the whole state of Nebraska. I like the inclement weather and it keeps the whiny people away.

And Sacramento doesn't have a Scheels.

$11 million? I'm sorry, but that price simply isn't viable.

Thank you, all be here all week. Don't forget to tip your moderators.

I hate how fast companies are building housing areas, 200 gas stations in a one mile radius, etc. There is nowhere to relax ananymore.
I can't relax when there are three car washes and a homeless shelter on every block.

Gorgeous house, he's very smart with his money too from all the times I've heard about him talk about that aspect of his career. A cut of every RG and Jem sold can't hurt either!

Wouldn't be surprised if he is joining the ever growing list of rockers moving to the Nashville area.
Whatever his reasoning is I can imagine there is quite a bit of conflicting feelings and emotions with him leaving and I'm sure it's very difficult on a emotional level to leave when you think about all the music he recorded there and all the countless memories as well.

It must be really bad for him to move away from that paradise. I mean look at that place. I'm sure everybody has seen the Harmony Hut but I had no idea the rest of the place was that cool.
I can understand this from a personal level as my wife and I have been contemplating a move to another state to be closer to her family and I am really not excited about it one bit.
How long ago was it special?
Same thing happened to Colorado after we foolishly thought that voting for weed to be legalized was a great idea and little did we know that everyone was packing up from everywhere else and moving there is the thousands every month and basically turned Denver into mini Los Angeles with the traffic and drove the prices up so damn much we had to leave . We miss Colorado , but couldn't even afford to move back now without living in a dump that would still cost over 700.000

Where did you ultimately move to?

It's weird to me that someone would spend the kind of time and money to move to a place just to smoke some weed. I've found that bic lighters work just fine in all 50 states.

I could be wrong, but I believe Billy Sheahan moved out of LA years back and is now living in Nashville . It does seem like a bunch of LA guys are getting the hell out and going to Nashville these days.
There are a bunch of them. I think Derek St. Holmes also lives there. One or two Aerosmith dudes. It's a music hub, it's affordable compared to L.A, and TN is a pretty good state for making your dollars go further. I'd go but I hate anything that resembles winter so short of a summer cabin I can't go any further north than I am now in central Texas. Winter is bad enough here.

Interesting. The area my wife is trying to convince me to move to is McKinney Tx . I know nothing about TX . I do know there is a killer guitar store there called Guitar Sanctuary , but I would miss the mountains though as we came from Colorado to Travelers Rest SC so moving again and going to flat TX is something I am really struggling with if my wife keeps pushing the idea.

I'm not a fan of flatlands unless there are palm trees and beaches. McKinney=DFW=flat. Ain't no way I'd leave Traveler's Rest for that no way. You want to visit the TX hill country which starts around Austin and runs to the San Antonio area and westward (for the most part). I gotta blues fest June 6th, come on down, you won't be disappointed.
