Define North East area of North America? I live on one of the highest water tables around, and for only the 2nd time in 20+ years we haven't had any floods or washouts this year.

All of our worst fires are also NW, which is absolutely in draught....
North East is...North East? How else can I describe it? :ROFLMAO:

Only you can prevent forest fires.

In an extremely miniscule way. I don't disagree at all that we need to figure out a solution to pollution ( especially the fucking floating garbage islands in the oceans) and that we need to take a pragmatic approach to figuring out a sustainable energy source that doesn't emit pollution. I don't think any rational people disagree with that. It can be done in a way that doesn't jack energy prices up which will fuck poor people more than anyone. It will take time. Do the research, put things on the market and gently transition to cleaner energy.

What we disagree with is Joe Biden closing down the coal mines in Wyoming and Montana which provide nearly half the coal in this country in a misguided attempt to appease environmentalists when we know it will dramatically increase energy prices when the economy is already fucked. The Gretas and Gores running around claiming the polar caps are going to melt in 12 years and all the people blaming every fucking natural disaster on climate change.

A lot of people are making a lot of money off the climate change scam Dan. That should give everyone pause.

but none of that changes the fact the climate change is real, it is happening, and humans are playing a part in it it. Feel free to be pissed that people are monetizing it, but that doesn't mean that it isn't a real thing.

It's spun as something to worry about and fear. It's not worth fear or worry. I know a lady who gets to wringing her hands and all despair filled every time they run a story on the tv. I find that both amusing and sad at the same time. Get a bad storm and it's "oh the climate change is just killing us".

I think some people, a very small percentage of people, will over play the fearmongering of it, but it is in fact something very worrisome.

There are thousands and thousands of these climate scientists that make predictive models, and they have a 100% failure rate. What do you think about that?

Why is like 99.99% of proposed policy to combat climate change directed at western nations, and not India, China, SEA, etc (the greatest polluters).?

Why do all these people that benefit/push from "green economy" have the carbon footprint of 100000x that of the average person in western countries, but they oppose carbon taxes and penalties that scale directly with their net worth?

I wasn’t really talking about “predictive models”, but they most certainly are not 99% incorrect.
And if nations don’t want to sign treaties, they aren’t going to sign treaties. You can either give a shit to do your part or not. No sense in bitching about everyone else.

Read up on the Montreal Protocol. Humans can make a difference.

One approach that is used is to graph all the models, look at the upper and lower bounds and the average of all of the model's outputs. I haven't studied it that much but I severely doubt many of them predict that there will be absolutely no climate change going on.

As for a 100% failure rate - no they don't have a 100% failure rate at all. They are better predictors than saying nothing is going on and some of them are pretty much on the money. It may be that the average of all the models is actually too conservative. That remains to be seen.

Given there is no worldwide control mechanism I doubt anything will make much of a difference though. The only thing I agree with is that the third world's use and lack of control will negate any efforts by the first world to bring things under control. They have too large a population and their governments are too recalcitrant. They have a chip on their shoulders about the west that basically we have grown our economies and they'll be buggered if they are going to control their emissions.

The first world got to be first world by making industrial messes that lacked any oversight or responsibility for the messes and pollution that resulted now the first world wants to play world cop "you can't pollute even though we did". You can't slash and burn even though we logged the entirety of north america from one end to the other. You're evil if you use child labor even though we did. You're polluting your waterways, that's wrong, even though we polluted our own waterways. The west thinks they have the right to tell other sovereign nations how to conduct business. They don't.

Thumbpicker and Dan, name one prediction that has been accurate.

Also I don't really care about what is happening to the extent that I'm probably too old now to worry. However, it could actually have real impacts on me if I live another 30 years (unlikely). I don't like hysteria about the topic.

LOL! The website is called "carbon brief".

Yeah not biased in any way unless you want high strength low weight pairs of underwear. Carbon brief, hahahaha.
So what would you pick. The fucking Onion? Fucking Truth Social?

All they are doing is plotting data against predictions. Don't read the commentary - look at the graphs. I don't believe they are manipulating it.

What should I expect from you... you think the Earth is shaped like a roulette wheel.
