I'm just tired of the over moderation and walking on egg shells. I received a warning for posting a very mild jab. Also, it's apparently against the rules to call low effort/troll threads "shitposting". Their community rules don't even explicitly prohibit profanity.

I'm 35 and a bit of a late comer to gear forums. TGP was my main gear hangout just because of the high traffic, but I've gotten tired of dealing with their bullshit. I grew up in the 2000s when internet discourse was essentially the wild west. Rig talk seems to have more of that old school internet vibe which is cool.

Greetings and welcome my brother. I noticed you already perused my primer for new members. While you are not technically new here it is good to see people getting out of that shithole called TGP and spending time with us. I think TGP is like an abusive woman to a few members here....they keep going back, only to get mistreated again. We at rig-talk value you here.

Thank you! I made my rig talk account a few years ago, but wasn't very active. You'll probably be seeing my face here a lot more moving forward. I thoroughly enjoyed your primer and had a few good laughs. I'm also a Tyler headstock appreciator.

TGP has been destroyed by over moderation and general snowflake flaccidity. Peeps be allowed to talk about gender transitions but warnings and bans for calling out the mental disorder for what it is. Disagree with someone about a piece of gear and warnings and bans are dished out.

Such a shame as it once was a great resource for all things gear related. I joined back in 2004 and spent way too much time there. Learned a ton.
The only forums worth a shit are the Emporiums. The sheer number of people over there gives the emporium an edge over RT.
But that’s it. RT is superior if you valve discourse and free speech.

I’ve never been a member, or looked at the site. I struggle to understand why people bitch about a forum (guitar, or otherwise), somewhere other than the forum they have a problem with.
Raise your concerns in the forum you have a problem with and STFU here.
