chorus effects
behringer

baritone guitars

Flying Vs and most 'radical' guitar shapes. They just have never done anything for me.

On the topic of boosting, I used to always boost no matter what, but lately I've grown fond of sometimes going 'au naturale' while I practice at bedroom volumes and boost when I need to take the amp into the heavens. I boost to tighten not to add gain or change the amp's sound or anything. At true stage volumes it is absolutely necessary to boost in order to maintain clarity and a fast pick attack. Otherwise you have to radically EQ the amp via the knobs and that usually sounds less than superior. In my experience anyway.

On topic, I am not a fan of dumb people, nor people who start fights. I am not a fan of light strings. I hate guitars with HSH configuration, that's past a dislike for me, I won't touch them at all. Boutique gear in general.

I'll agree with what Brad said also ! But I'll also add rap music, death metal, drugs, tom anderson guitars, chorus, epi valve jr, orange tiny terror, vox nighttrain, semi hollow body guitars, baritone guitars, gibson explorers, gibson sg, v shaped guitars, dean ml or whatever type Dime played (though I like Dime, RIP), movies and television (I watch very little), and famous people. They are just like us just have a different job. I've met Dimebag, Zakk, and other famous folks...they were nice...but all looked at me funny when I declined an autograph. I will probably get banned from Rig talk for saying this but......KISS and Led Zepplin

I would prefer a Suhr guitar !.don't hate andersons...just not interested in one..Dime was cool in person ...really nice and humble....i like pantera and think Dime was an awesome guitarist..but...i'm just not into autographs and idolizing the person....i appreciate what they created : music ! Lynch is my all time fave guitarist..but..it would be cool to meet him....but other than that...no big deal.....but I can sit and listen to Dokken/Lynch Mob for hours/days/weeks/years...people are just people to me...it's about the music for me !

Weed, I guess. Never liked it. Did it twice when I was 15-16 or so and never again since.

Gear wise, I used to be against bolt-on necks and Marshalls. My my, how things have changed. I think I like all flavors of gear now. It all has its place. And just for the record, I was going to say "dudes" but Brad beat me to it.

this is really interesting, I have the same feeling. I'm not gonna lie to you that I'd probably take a few autographs but honestly, everytime I met someone famous I just look at them and normally talk. I met David Ryan Harris (John Mayer guitarist) and he's one of my top 5 singer songwriters and a huge influence in my writing and I sat there talked to him for about 5 minutes and took a couple of pics and it didn't even crossed my mind to ask for his autograph. I won't let myself idolize anyone like that. I had my drooling moments when I was younger for sure (James Hetfield, Billie Joe Armstrong) but nowadays I view them as my peers. I'm a musician and they are musicians which I some how some way will play along with and be respected by them.

I know it sounds WEIRD, but I'm weird like that.

Same with my local musicians and "famous" people here in my country, I see them as just someone else.

ONCE YOU PUT YOURSELF AS A FANBOY you'll never gain respect, you'll always be a fanboy. you can tell someone how much you respect his music and how much of an influence they've had on you, but don't play the fanboy card
