A year ago I had an overnight shipment to China for the Blue Man Group for six speakers. Fedex in China, or China Customs (somebody, not sure) lost the commercial invoice, the customs paperwork, the declaration, all of it.
26 days later it finally got delivered to BMG, in another city 1500 miles away due to their screw up. I had to fight for four months to get the shipping costs back to credit BMG.
I think this is the worst I've ever experienced with Fedex.
In 2007 with USPS I shipped out 12 Scumbag Golf shirts to the Scumbag Golf Team in the UK, a local golf group there which travels all over the world to play golf.
USPS lost the shirts, had to get them remade, and shipped again. 17 months later the shirts come back to me from UK Royal Post (Mail?) which had lost them in customs. Yes, I got the insurance money, and USPS told me to keep the shirts, cuz they got paid by Royal Post for the loss.
It seems my biggest problems happen with overseas customs offices. Granted, I've only shipped out about 1100 shipments in 14 years overseas, but I thought I had it down by now.
Guess not. LOL
