VH4 knobs become hard to handle

I have my VH4 since 2010, and knobs are becoming increasingly "hard" to handle (especially trebble knobs).

Did you also this "problem" and you have a tip to solve it ?

Thanks a lot :)

Hello Slivoid,

first time I hear about that "problem". There is some
oil in the shaft of the pot. Remove the knobs from the
pots and spray some elecronic cleaner on the shaft.
The cleaner should run inside the housing of the shaft.
Turn the shaft many times from left to right.

Best regards,
Peter

Thanks Peter for your tip !
I have to spray electronic cleaner inside the amp, or just outside of the receiver after removing the knobs ?

Sorry, I don't understand english very well...

Cool !
I am not a technician, so I prefer not to open the amp!
I will try this. WD40 oe 3 in 1 spay will work ?

And thank you for the after sales service, always good

Sometimes it can be that the plastic knob is pushed too much in the pot, so that it starts impacting the pot movement. If you loosen the knob screw and push it out (away from the front panel) about 1mm and then retighten. Does it still go hard?

STOP!!! What you need is Electronic cleaner!!!

Not WD40 or 3 in 1 spay. This will have many undesirable effects I think.

You need contact cleaner. Very easy to obtain.

WD40 is a oil based product. Not good....

OK.
I'll try to find a contact cleaner ;)
Thank you for your warning

Me too.
I put 3 in 1 above, and the rust is gone ;)
