This!!! Upgraded the pickups with Manlius Asphalts (open black coils) and this guitar kicks ass for the price.!!

Godin lgp90
Samick Artist 335
Samick Artist SG

Those Samicks are so solid and dirt cheap. The Godin is as nice a guitar as you'll find under $1000.

This thread should be loaded with Ibanez guitars. In my experience, the ultimate bang for the buck.

The necks make them what they are. Even the bottom of the barrel Gios have necks that play above the price.

Either my Kramer Pacer Classic or my Pacer Vintage. Incredible guitars for the money.

My Hamer USA Diablo. Those in the know understand how good a USA Hamer is. Otherwise people think its some bargian guitar called Hammer.

I'd put mine up there with a Suhr or Anderson...

Fender contemporary tele from the 80's. Great playing and sounding guitar, even if it is a bit of a mutt for a tele. This picture was taken before the Anderson H1- and H2+ pickups which really seemed to bring out the best in this guitar. Always liked how it played, now I love how it sounds. The burgandy myst metallic isn't the greatest color, but it has grown on me....

I picked up a Michael Kelly vex nv (200 bucks) for my daughter and I
cant believe how nice it plays. I played it for about 2 hours yesterday lol.

The most underrated guitar is the Washburn/Davies N4 by far IMO.

The N4 has the best aspect of each of my guitars rolled into one. Natural finish, ebony fretboard, reverse headstock, 1 knob, HH pu's, location of the pu switch and knob, small body, alder, light weight, perfect upper fret access, and just right neck thickness and profile. Also, the strings are high off the body compared to other super strats. Feels more like a LP. You can really dig in.

I agree with the Ibanez love. I have an RG7621 that is amazing.

But I'd have to give it to either this Indo Squier VII or this MIK Epi LP 7 as even more underrated:

These are my primary players despite having guitars that cost thousands more.

I bought a 1987 Charvel Model 3A, 2 humbucker. This thing sounds great and plays like a dream. I got it on Ebay delivered for $275 with the case.

This:

Mine is an older model of this... Just something about this guitar that makes it a giant slayer. I have a few fairly nice guitars and access to very high end ones and this old beater/kit guitar will hang with most of em if you give it half a chance. My old bessie has basically no decent frets left, missing knobs etc and still will tackle alternate tunings and hold intonation like no ones business. Clarity and effortless shredding for days. Light and sitting and playing is by far the most comfortable of my axes.

I'm about to give her a re-fret and was browsing a certain site and saw they were taking pre-orders on the newer gen's for 99$ and it was a no brainer. Interested to see if the newer ones will compare. I can't believe it but i'm going to put actives in one of them.. The pups will be twice as much as the guitar lmfao

My Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster. Paid $300 for it, threw in some vintage Fender pickups and it plays and sounds as good as any recent US Tele I've played.

My hotrodded LTD ST203. I've got about $350 into this, even though I upgraded the pickups, saddles, tuners, and pickguard. I don't know if I got a gem, but this guitar beats the hell out of most Fenders that I've played. The key is probably that the fret job is fantastic.

peavey generation. dirt cheap, excellent playability and great sound.

Kramer 84 reissue! Plays just as well as some high end guitars I've played.

I also love RG's but I wouldn't have thought of them as a underrated guitar. I see them everywhere. My vote is a Peavey t-60.

Kinda agree with the above RG comment - Ibanez' peek in popularity may have long since faded (I've never been a 'Nez junkie, think at one point I owned 3, now just one) but eh, they're still turning out some fine gear and I wouldn't lump them in the under appreciated category either.

Love the fender contemp tele above!!! I have an '86 contemporary Strat as well. But of my small stable I guess it'd be this one for most underrated...

They're not as well known but there's nothing underrated about the HP Specials, they're right up there with the Wolfgangs! I'd put them one step above since they come with more features than the stock Wolfgang. I love that finish on yours btw.
