Are they going to stop producing them?

Probably selling more runt!
Lol... Good!
Please. Silver Jub RI blows doors on the Runt. All day. Tried one. Meh.

I much preferred the Runt 50 over the Jub. But to be fair they're both different styles and voicings.

The reason for the 2555x price drop in the US is two-fold: A very large retailer canceled or amended a purchase order and then the US distributor FORGOT to amend the associated order with Marshall UK. Result is a huge overstock in the US warehouse and they need to turn some inventory back into cash flow. They just made way too many for the market
Was thinking, did they release the RI 2555X in black? Would have been cool if they somehow could have made some of them black 2555X. Some people just want that classic Marshall black.

$1062 is sick.

Yeah, to each their own. IMO, YMMV. I keep forgetting to type that in. Runt was too dark for me, couldn't get it bright enough. Jubilees have a high end chime that I find unique.

Really?....not bright enough? Something don't sound right.

Just finished my '68 12000 clone build this week and it smokes! This is my third Plexi and I have a JMP 2204, an SLO and a 5153 Stealth. I sooooo don't need another Marshall. But I really want one. I'm gonna hold off for a year until they show up on CL real cheap.

Roseville Mn GC. Brand new. Presence and Treb on 10. Friedman cab. Nope. Now, underneath it was a brand new BE..much better EQ range than the darker older versions. Less compressed too. Liked it a lot! BE is a beast for sure. But the Runt, didn't care for it much. They had a used JCM 800 next to it and that was much better tone to me for 400 less.

I've been watching this for a week now with the "I don't neeeed it" eyes. Mesa Marks are really my thing but sometimes I think a little variety might be nice.

So for $1100, would you get a new Jubilee or a used JCM800? Or, a Mark IV? That's kind of where I'm at.

The exchange rate may be helping. The British Pound has dropped a lot against the US dollar in the last year or so, and recently took a bigger dive. Marshall UK is probably taking little or no loss at these prices in terms of their local currency.

The euro has dropped as well. If anyone from the US travels, it's a good time now to buy gear in the UK/Europe!

I just pulled the trigger on one from Sweetwater. I tried to get GC to add the coupon code and they would not.

I have agonized over this since Friday. The price is a steal but I wasn't really looking for a new amp. I'm still wanting to pull the trigger but I just dont need it.

First world people problems.

Did you get an additional discount? I'm kinda where stompboxfreak is. I don't need it but for $1062 (15% off $1249) I can hardly resist. If it's $1249 I can wait.

Coupon doesn't work for me
They must have wised up. Email coupon doesn't work anymore.

Yeah, they must have stopped it. I was able to use the coupon to purchase on Friday.

Ordered one from Sweetwater. They dont have the 15% off (sounds like MF no longer does either) but at 36 month interest free I had to do it. Been wanting a Marshall forever and im pretty damn excited!
Im hoping the 412s drop in price at some point but it should sound great with my old 1960B

I wonder why MF is the only online retailer that doesnt even have the 2555X listed on their site ???
