I remember really liking the clean on the CAA OD100. However I remember thinking dirty channel was my least favorite sound ever EVER.

Custom Audio OD100 with 5881s, the cleans on that, I have not played better.

Custom Audio PT100

JC120....but XTC 20th w/KT77's is pretty great too in a different way, glassy, yet full with nice deep bottom.

John and Chris have worked over the SE+ OD dirt circuit. Improved is an understatement. Add to that the Whomp II and it's pretty OK. May want to check out the latest versions. His stuff seems to always get better. I'd like to try something handwired from him in the future too.

Matchless Chieftain and a '68 Deluxe Reverb are my go-to clean amps...and they dirty up nicely as well

I use the same amps as I do for distorted tones: My Mesa/Boogie MarkIV and the 50 watt Marshall JCM 800.

Although at the moment I am enjoying using the JCM 800 slaved into my Roland Jazz Chorus 120- you get the best of both.

I'm too much of a metalhead. But I do prefer the clean and verb on my Laney VH100R for "bright" clean. And the clean channel on my Krank Rev Plus is about as good as it gets for my tastes. but then again I'm abnormal. ;-)

The laney Vh100R has an awesome clean. Its one of the few amps I miss, but not enough to buy another. ;)

Hmm, very nice. I never had a chance to play the groove tubes preamp but always wanted to. The only Bogner I ever played was a XTC but for some reason it didn't sound right (It was a used model at a guitar store that I came across one day so i played it for about an hour). I want to like the Mesa Cleans but for some reason it just doesn't do it for me. I think I may be too picky when it comes to cleans.

I would love to try a CAA but I have no way of trying one.
