It is a awesome book! I've had mine for a while but haven't had the chance to read through it yet. The pictures and the whole layout of the book are killer though. Definitely something any Metallica fan needs to check out.

That is the way I feel. Most cabs, even 4x12's, need to be on the floor, or close, to sound their best and provide the punch. Sitting on another cab, etc.. they lose alot of their punch IMO. Put that Mills 2x12 on the floor and stand back 10-15 feet and I bet it will sound killer.

ESP screwed up when they made all ESP branded guitars Custom Shop only and got rid of the ESP Standards name for the E-II name. Worst move they ever made IMO. Like Pushead stated, Ltd.s are made all over Asia, depending on the series.

Same here. Not sure about the rep change but I wish mine would quit calling and leaving voice mails. If I want something I'll contact you. It's really a turn off with these calls.

I've owned several inexpensive guitars that have sounded great. They are hit and miss though. Some were completely horrible, some were ok and some really surprised me how great they played and sounded.

I can't listen to Death Magnetic much either. Some of the songs are ok but the production is horrible and to me most of the songs sound forced. IMO they listened and tried to please Rick Rubin to much instead of doing what they really felt with that album. I am loving this new album though...

Seems more like a less maintenance and easier setup move than saving much money in the haul. Like you said, they aren't shipping their gear from show to show, they transport it in semi trailers. The weight of the tube amps, etc.. might be slightly more but with all the gear they haul from show...

Not the cheapest by far but the Soldano Hot Rod 25 is the best I've tried. It's better than most 50-100 watt amps though. Do not really consider it a mini or lunchbox amp.

This new album has already grabbed me. Loving the hell out of it from start to finish. Hell of a surprise for me. Really didn't expect to love this album that much. I did not care for St. Anger or Death Magnetic and didn't have high expectations for this one but I love it.

Not sure what you prefer in tone or what you are listening to the new album through but to me Hetfields tone on the new album is massive and killer sounding. Best he's sounded in a long time, tonally and vocally.

The reborn Rectos are great but I still think the Trem-o-verb is the best Rectifier Mesa has ever built to this point. Just something about it that the others can't match IMO.
