So true.

My amp does .5w, 50w, and 100w.

.5w at low volume doesnt have enough power to move the cone much.

The highs disappear first as the volume drops. Bass next.

My 2204 and Badlander 50 Watters keep up with my 100 Watters just fine.

My old Hiwatt DR504 50 watter was louder than My 2203 100 watter!

Over the decades I went bigger then smaller and back to bigger.
I don't get the punch i want with lower wattage even at gig volume. Its not the same spank

Size matters

Exactly, not saying the 50 and 30's can't sound glorious.

There is a thump that only 100's can provide.

I'm with him on the 100 watts. It can indeed be a feel thing at times.
He may have narrowed his amps down to two,I oth 100% regularly play thru all my many amps, gig them,a/ b them, use them or loan them out for sessions, etc.
He's got it narrowed down to two,but i couldn't. 100% agree with the 100 watts tho.Even if it was 180 watts like my mesa colis.
