Upgraded by the SWX Mod Shop
The in-house technicians here at the SWX Mod Shop upgraded this Marshall DSL100HR with our most-requested mods, so you can benefit from them as soon as you unbox your new amplifier. First, we revoiced the Classic Gain channel’s Clean voice — the Green LED — increasing its gain, giving rise to 1959 Super Lead tones, while leaving the stock Crunch voice. Next, we made modifications to both of the Ultra Gain channel’s voices, taking inspiration from Marshall’s iconic JCM amplifiers, enabling you to achieve the sweet-sounding, high-octane grind that fueled 1980s metal. What’s more, this amplifier is backed by Sweetwater’s exclusive 2-year Total Confidence Coverage warranty, which protects you from product defects and malfunctions — a must-have since modding the amplifier voids the manufacturer’s warranty.
yeah clips would have been nice!!
The DSL is easily one of the best values on the used market. Solid Marshall tones, fairly flexible and takes a boost very well. All I know is lower gain lead channel with Nuno settings is a great hot rod Marshall tone stock. Recently saw Slaughter and they were running DSL stacks and sounded fucking great. I definitely would want to try before buying to make sure it is any better than stock.

I only have a pic of my settings which are close to his. Resonance 7 Presence 3 Bass 2 mids 3 treble 2 gain 3.5. I had the resonance higher like this at lower volumes so you might need to back off some if band volume. All settings number on dial. Please share these settings...
You run that green channel cranked?
nope, lead #1. Cant get this one past 6 w/o killing people. You run that green channel cranked?
Someone over at TGP has been putting up a 1923 Limited Edition for a couple of days and then taking it down. I thought about it but it was a little more than I can get the 100HR new. I think the 1923 was built in 2008 with better parts than the regular DSL 2000 50 watters though?I'd go for an older JCM2000 DSL, but I've been scared away by all the QC horror stories about the new ones.
