Washburn had been pretty new thing to me, this was my first one, 1997 CS slime formerly owned by guy from texas. I was wondering how much this thing might be reallisticaly worth in todays market ?

Yep, the market for these is insane for sure. That one seems in great condition. I'd list it for $8k and see what happens.

I have an original case, all plates and even original Tremolo arm too.
There is hell of a fun story behind it... Previous owner was massive slayer fan so he scraped SLAYER logo on backplate cover.

Probably accept a solid offer below depending on how quick you wanted to get off it
The washburn dimes have a small but super devoted following so it shouldn't be too difficult - the slimes, the concrete sledge, and the lightning are by far the most coveted finishes/models

Almost sucks to sell a guitar with all that history and provenance, but these things are valued so ridiculously above their worth as a guitar because of dime, I totally get it
You could sell this guitar and put a down payment on a house at this point, which is well past the "bringing it to the open mic night" level

Im only 22 now. Its not like i have to sell it. Just asking around. I know headstock decal is 1 of 1 too - you can see its symmetrical on headstock horns.
Back to my life, im soon graduating Electrical engineering and wanted to move to Netherlands to seek for better jobs, and i feel like i might downsize my collection a bit before moving, or atleast trade it for some nice 7 string.

Well it's 100% up to you, if you don't need the money it would probably be best to sit on it - it will only go up in value over time

USA cs model? 8-10 k…. Fuckin Korean imports that were on musicians friend back in the day for 299-599 are anywhere from 1-3k depending on the model. It’s fuckin crazy….

I can still remember the local Gibson shop, they had 2 they kept on hangers on the front display case so they were pretty much the first thing you saw when you walked in the door, a Lightening Bolt and a Diamond plate version... I wasn't a fan of Pantera but something about those I always thought were cool, this was in the tail end of the 90s.

I got the same exact guitar except it was a 95 usa d3 with a even more figured top than yours. It was august 31st 2015 and my central air stopped working and I was waiting for the repair man to come. Started browsing guitar center used like I do every day and went to wasburn electrics/ new arrivals. The guitar center person who put up the sale ad labeled it washburn slimeball green. I looked at the pics and immediately knew it was a usa because the back of the headstock had a razorblade serial number. I believe they only did that on the first year models/1995. Paid $ 334.57 in total for a usa washburn dime 3. Was always a dream guitar for me but ultimately was too much for me as I am much more comfortable with super strats. Sold to some guy in long island for $3000. Its unbelievable some people will sell their used gear to guitar center and not even know the value and gc personnel dont know how to evaluate the gear that comes in.

Forgot one funny part about this, like I said my central air went out and was waiting for the repair guy. He just so happened to arrive right when I saw the guitar and he was beating on the door but I couldnt answer because I forgot my guitarcenter account password and wanted to make sure I got it before anyone else snatched it. Remembered just in time before the repair guy left.
