I'm not sure what exactly I said that you are referencing. And for the record there are still plenty of people here who have off base ideas about Christianity the same way the puritans did. Take a look at the rise of mega churches, for example. Schisms and heresy only breed greater schisms and worse heresy.

I should have been more clear. I was referring back to you saying we're British through and through. I agree that Canada is more European than the US but a 'mini UK"? Nah.
