Saw the video the other day. Seems like a pretty damn cool boost. His tone in this video was probably the best I’ve heard from him and his tone is always good.

Every lawrence petross pedal i've owned has been absolutely killer.

Haven't tried this new one, but I've owned (and still own) a bunch of em

I’ve been wanting to try the Eighty 7 pedal for a while. I will at some point.

Big fan of Nielsen, the boost sounded pretty good here - but do I need another one in the sea of boosts I already have? Probably.

I bought a piece of rack gear from Michael back in December. Couldn't have been a nicer guy to interact with. ZERO ego, answered multiple questions I had, and threw in some extra goodies - not to mention it was also a great deal well under market. Class act.

The Eighty 7 is incredible. IMO it's far superior to the BEOD, pedalpal 800, and any number of other higher gain MIAB pedals.

My favorite is the Sixty 8 though. It isnt super high gain or anything but it stacks so well with other overdrives it's ridiculous - especially on 18v mode, if you run an 808 or SD1 in front of it, it behaves really similarly to an actual amp

Well shit, now I need to look into the Sixty 8. My core tone isn’t super hi gain. It’s more heavy crunch and then I just turn on a boost occasionally for the chuggy stuff.
Are you referring to the regular Sixty8 or the 8X?

I like Neilsen, but any of my future boost pedal purchases will be made through Griffin Audio.

That actually seems like a really cool boost pedal with alot of different ways to tweak the low end and then you have a regular boost section and then the Push/echoplex preampish boost section and or both boosts types.:2thumbsup:

$220.00 isn't bad pricewise, I'd try one out and if Dantravis62 says this LPD guy makes really good pedals that's encouraging. I've spent about the same on other pedals that didn't have all those selectable options. You're gonna spend $125.00 for an MXR CAE401 clean boost pedal with no options other than DB gain.
