Try a koko boost v 1 . It does that imo .

I've tried both, and the SD does its own thing but it's certainly not "transparent"

Were you not a fan of the 33?

Never tried it, TBH. Seems like more a djent 8-string thing than a chunky C melodeath thing.

But AFAIK, it's a direct copy of the TC preamp, just with a fixed value for the bass and treble controls. Bass dialed all the way down.

The Dirty Tree has the Fortin 33 mode as well as the straight-up TC mode where you can dial in how much bass you want to cut.
