BLS & Corrosion Of Conformity Tampa tonight! Who's going?

[napalmdeath]

Corrosion Of Conformity is back! Nice to have Pepper back, and a pretty killer new album! Who's going?

I saw the show a few weeks ago. I am long Time COC fan and I enjoyed their set. Seen them 10+ times over the years. Pep’s tone and voice were awful. He was good and drunk through when I met up with him after the set. Woody’s Rectos sounded great.
BLS was straight up shred city. I’ve seen them many many times over the years and it was more of the same. Zakk’s tone didn’t sound any different than when he was using 800s. BLS was BLS.

I saw them three weeks ago yesterday. I was a big BLS fan around the 1919 Eternal and Blessed Hellride era, but I was more excited to see COC. Eyehatgod came out and did 12 songs and we only got 8 COC songs, really disappointing. Pepper was agitated before going into the last song right at 9:00, I think Eyehategod may have extended their set and took some of COC's time. It was awesome to meet him out at the merch table though.

Just saw the Atlanta show with my son. Long time COC fan and first time seeing them. I would have preferred a full set from them instead of including EHG. Got a chance to meet Pepper, which was cool!

Yeah, Pepper was mingling in the crowd last night, Red Fang and COC shared their rigs, all Orange. I wasn't impressed with the mix, but Pepper sounded great, and Woody was spot on.

Zakk, on the other hand was loud and proud. Clear as a bell, and truly amazing! Great show!! Though it was an outside venue, standing room only, and cramped. I haven't seen that many shit-faced people in quite some time. Most mid-50's crowd, and hammered! Had a great time, however. I think I was the only one sober!

thinking about taking my 10 y.o., what do you think? first concert.

Depends on the venue, I suppose. I'd say yeah, if it wasn't wall to wall people standing. We took my niece, though she's 18. There was 5 of us, just have to hang on to one another!

No pit/moshing, so wasn't an unruly crowd. Most were drunk or stoned and pretty mellow!

I'd say go for it! Zakk puts on a hell of a show!

The crowd at the Indy show was very tame, very little movement. We were 5-6 bodies back from the rail and there was a guy next to us with two small kids, the younger was maybe four years old.

I just listened to their new album yesterday. Good album. I like the raw production too.

I like the raw production too.

I love the natural drum sounds instead of just sterile samples. I've listened to the album almost every day since it was released.
