100% this. Regardless if it's 20 watts or 25 watts, the fact is there are no widespread reports of people melting the speakers in the EVH 412 cab using a 100 watt head.
Sure If you're pushing a Marshall Super Lead into power amp distortion there's a good chance you'll melt the voice coil since you're probably putting out 200 watts or more. If you're running a high gain amp like the EVH Stealth or similar you're getting all you saturation from the preamp and are not approaching the max power handling of the speakers. Any experienced high gain player know power amp distortion = diarrhea farts. So you're not going to approach max clean power to be loud enough where it would destroy the speaker.
