Cabinet for EVH 5150 III Stealth 100W

I'm going to throw a real curveball into the Maths .... about 5 years ago I redid the tolex on a EVH half stack for a guy ... replaced the grill cloth .... guy let his cat just tear the fuck out of it .... and he wanted me to obviously check the speakers out ... which they were fine ... and I found the pics ...
if every website under creation has them listed as 16 Ohm why does the tag on each speaker say 15 Ohm .......

Retailers make mistakes as well as 3rd party manufacturers....... This is why it's best to go to the source of the manufacturers spec sheet making said product in this case Celestion.

As you can see here, the EVH Greenback is indeed a speaker rated at 8 ohms or 15 ohms and again straight from the manufacturer and spec sheets.

I call him bitch tits, because he has bitch tits. Then he tries to throw it back to me, but the thing is, I am built like a tank, so calling me bitch tits doesn't do shit to me. If he used insults that mixed a little truth, thats the key to humor.
He actually called you Hulk tits which I think is a high compliment. Have you see how ripped Savage Hulk is?

so you think EVH put the 15 Ohm tag on the speakers ??? .... and if so .... for what logical reason ?

and if you think Celestion put them there ... what do you think would be the logical reason ?

I'm curious .... you can't blame it on a mistake ..... there just seems to be far to many mistakes involved to not have purpose ....

Honestly I don't know and I'm not going to come here and pretend to talk about stuff I don't know.

I know as much as the next guy and all I'm doing is providing information readily available to everyone else respectfully just like the rest of y'all.

My best educated guess is they tagged them 15 ohms because that's what they are rated for production on the UK Greenbacks like the EVH/Heritage 20 watts vs the Chinese RI 25 watts at which isn't much on my side other than stating the obvious respectfully. No real big mystery there.

Also you mentioned something about 12 ohms earlier, look at the spec sheet and look at the DC Resistance, not entirely sure if that is what you meant but yeah. It reads 12.3 ohms per the spec sheet straight from Celestions website.

Im not doing anything else here other than presenting actual data, facts and information available to absolutely everyone here and that is it. No harm, no foul :dunno:

it used to be on after 3-2-1 Contact ...... on channel 2 ( PBS ) when I was like 9 or 10 .... friggin show creeped me out ... the intro theme and everything
I remember. I remember on 321 Contact one time they did a little deal on the lights and stage show for a kiss concert. Whenever there's trouble, we're there on the double, we're the Bloodhound Gang. lol

Do you remember The Great Space Coaster ?

there's mis information on the 20 watt theory .... and there's mis information on the 25 watt theory .....

I think there has been substantial info shown for the 25 watt side ...... and only you and I guess one other person not sure has shown one spec sheet ..on the 20 watt side

so Mr.Spock ( if he were here ) would probably tell me to listen to the manufacturer .... and except that the cab is safe for a 100 watt head ....
because they have to cover the warranty .... so if you want to go the Maths route ... the money it would cost them to replace the cabs alone ... is enough evidence to any logic why the cab would be safe ..... they aint worried about it .... so I'm not either

I have accepted this ..... I went full Dr. Who for a few minutes .... but it was probably the Indica and the 40 grams of edibles ....

and right now actually ... believe it or not .... I have a 100 watt head going into a 1960A fully loaded with the EVH's ....
