One speaker does not pass 105 dB at 2-3K and the other does. There's other differences as well.

The point isn't to argue they are the same exact speaker. It is to cast doubt on the dubious 20 watt rating and tell beginners that they are safe for a 100 watt amp if you aren't going full bore on volume

There are two types of people: pleasure seekers and pain avoiders.

Doubling the wattage is safe.

Running similar wattages is "not as safe" however, in a high gain scenario where you are not maxing out the volume (because that makes it sound like loose butthole), there is little chance of blowing a speaker.

I feel like i have said this exact thing before because I have. In this thread.

There is no official document, legitimate evidence outside of informal statement, rumors/myths etc etc or anything of that nature to show these are 25 watt speakers.

Well the manufacturer of the speaker here is Celestion to be clear. They manufacture the speaker, they make the product, they run the test, they gather the data and specs not EVH/Fender.

All Im saying here is be aware, use discretion, be safe, know what you're dealing with, know and understand the possible risk if you ever did decide to push it or crank it and depending on how you use it.
