You know what he meant. You're just instigating. It's pretty obvious he meant he wasn't going name the guy or share his PM comments without his permission and that if that other user wants to speak up, he can do it on his own behalf.

Have you read the entire thread? At one point the OP stated that his story was 'both sides'.
Be that as it may, I had someone PM me somewhere and state I should post freely, I can't tell you anymore details, 'cept he may not post here.
As for instigating, I think the OP has a monopoly there, why else would he still be bumping this

Don't be sorry, be happy.
I could elaborate, but simply put;
everything must be true, I read it on the interwebz.
Have a great day.

Thanks. You are correct. It's not my place to say who sent me a pm. I encouraged him to come foward and speak his mind.

I did post both sides of the story. I did not see anybody challenge anything I posted.

I think you have posted more on this thread than me so your monopoly comment makes no sense.

As you know at the time you stated that it was both sides, the other party had not posted yet, but nice try smart guy.

As for me, hahaha, I never took either side, just pointed out how you both look silly. It takes more posting to poke holes in both sides, especially when both of you for some stupid reason want to exchange words with me. But please do go back and count posts, I'm sure everyone wants to know seeing how you brought it up, and stuff.

Not that you have listened to any advice so far, but please do report back and tell us how long your money was tied up now that you posted here and complained to PP. I'm sure there was no better recourse for all this, especially something as silly as maintaining your cool when some guy has your money and your paid for item.

It's called COMMUNICATION. It's this wacky concept whereby we CHOOSE to have some form of discussion (verbal, written, electronic, etc) with another party to make sure that all parties to a transaction understand clearly, the terms of the deal. And if the terms need to be altered, then communication should be used to inform the other party that things have changed.

Yes... the OP kind of jumped the gun on getting "excited". But when the seller chose to alter the terms of the deal (for whatever reason), then he had the responsibility to inform the buyer. His WORD was that he'd have it shipped-out on a specific date. He failed to live up to it. His reasons aren't excuses... just reasons. He should have said "man... I've had all of this stuff going-on, including a very sick family member, etc, etc". Had he done that... then the buyer would've been a total asshat for still moving forward with being "pissy" about it. He didn't do that. HE was in the wrong, period.

Anyways... this strikes home to me because I bought a Bogner XTC a few years ago and the seller said he'd ship it out the next day. He didn't get it shipped-out until over a week later! So he had $2,250 of my money for about two weeks before I had an amp to show for it. That'd be fine... if he'd have been up-front with me. But he just kept on with the excuses... day after day until I finally called him a week after paying and let him know that I wasn't happy about being strung-along. I didn't make a federal case on a website about it. And he reacted with surprize that I was getting a bit upset. Which is stupid. Sending $2K to some guy to be strung-along by him would get most people's blood pumping a bit (unless you're rich and $2K is pocket change to you... it's far from that to me).

Seriously... does one need to have a real ZEAL for arguing endlessly in order to excel in the legal profession? I ask because everyone I've never known who was a lawyer would be willing argue to the grave that the sky wasn't blue if that's the position they'd taken early-on. Hmmm... me thinks I've found the right career path for my ever-argumentative 17-year old son...

They say that genius often skips a generation, maybe there is hope for your son yet.

BTW, the lawyers that argue the sky isn't blue, well unlike me, they are wrong.

LOL, and again I never said I was going to be a lawyer, I've never met one with a back bone, so I'm sure I would not fit in.

Have a great day wanna be smart guys, and all ye regular guys too.

Don't be so sure. The 'rich' are more protective of their money in commercial transactions than anybody else - hence, one of the reasons why they are rich. I'm quite certain even someone qualifying as 'rich' would be sufficiently pissed off if this was done to them as well.

You know, I just wanna say, I seem to recall that 'smdb' is a super cool cat that voluntarily sent a bunch of Chad's favourite potato chips to him when he was stationed overseas. Is this right? If so, notwithstanding the debacle that this thread has become (God save us), props to you, Mr. SMDB!

Good point.

I got over my deal once the amp showed-up. But I was getting pretty concerned and that sick pit in my stomach was beginning to form by the time the guy finally sent me a tracking number (that he'd promised on multiple occasions).

I'm not going to claim to be the perfect seller, but generally, once I've been paid for something I'm beside myself with "angst" until the package has been safely shipped-off and I've got a tracking number sent-off to the buyer. I really do HATE selling online for this reason. Would just rather be a buyer. And that is the reason that out of my 270+ Ebay transactions... probably close to 250 were items I bought. Each of my Rig Talk deals were items I traded or sold (except one) and they were "stress fests"... for no other reason than I don't like having someone's money without them having what they paid-for. I would be a fool to ship an item before it was paid-for. But I'd probably endure less stress...

Thank you rlord1974. I did send Chad some chips. It was a pleasure to do that for him.

I am no saint, I have admitted several times that I snapped on the seller pretty fast. I was in a horrible mood and then had Klark srcewing with me . If we are giving excuses/reasons for our bad actions (myself and Klark) then mine would be one of my best friends had just had passed away from brain cancer the day before all of this went down. I was not happy and was in no mood for this guy. I chose to tell him to go to hell and give me my money back after he came off like an ass with his comments. It's not an excuse for snapping so fast, but it was a major factor. Then Klark decided to screw around another 8 days or so and hold my money for the hell of it.

I recieved my refund 2 days ago.

I have had quite a few transactions here on RT with NO issues.

If any of you guys choose to not deal with me in the future, so be it. I can live with that. I stood up for myself and called out someone was not being up front.

I am done with this thread.
