ive seen a couple good condition ivory ones go as high as 700 really

i would try to em down on price because its more than id want to pay, but it sounds about fair value really

So $600+tax for a used one is fair but not that great a deal then I guess...thanks

I have 2 EVH 4x12's and 2 EVH 2x12's. I havent played them side by side and AB'ed them but the 2x12's sound amazing and we know the 4x12's are awesome. I had been using a Mesa Recto 2x12 with V30's for my 2x12 needs till I got the EVH 2x12's and I think they just kill. There's just something about using the EVH amps with the matching cabs. They just sound killer together.

yeah 600 is "fair" but not a good deal. i havent seen these cabs get much cheaper though, not enough of em out there i guess, and still too new and popular. if the cab is in good condition 600 plus tax is probably worth snagging. i usually spend 500 max or used cabs, just havent seen the EVHs down in that range yet.

im trying so hard not to hit up brad for an evh 2x12 and tell myself my orange is all i need. i can't handle another cab right now but the wheels have been turning and i know the gas is going to get me soon...

Here is a picture of the two EVH and the 1967 Marshall 4x12. It's an EVH "style" shot I did for the studio.

I would say you got that EVH style setup covered there. Just the Eventide rack and a HH V800 for the wet cabs missing.

I notice they don't do a slant. How beamy are they?

I always preferred straights, especially for recording.

Yes, the stock EVH 412 cab is great. I want to try the 212 and 112 though with my 5150 mini.

Anybody tried the evh 4x12 with the Peavey 5150?
Yes, I actually got my EVH cab before I got the EVH head and I had a Blockletter. It sounded great together.

Good to know! Have a cab on It's way, got for a bargain ( at least here in Sweden:) but do not own a 5153 and was thinking of pairing it up with my 5150 or maybe even trying it with my recto.

Sblue, wasn't the early 67 20 watt green back paper voice coil with. 1777 cones??????

The other part I don't get is all these speaker guys who compare these evh/heritage greenbacks to the 68-73 pre Rola 25 watt with 003 cones, that is a different sounding green back then early 67 20watt they modeled after...I been looking for one of those early 67 20watt greenbacks and I just can't find any to buy.been looking for two years!!so I guess it's good the celestion evh/ heritage is such a close sounding reproduction

They sound amazing. Tight warm pleasant to the ear. No harshness to them. No matter what amp I put thru it always sounds killer.

I have to say the evh speakers are great!!!!!

ok,so i decided to do a speaker comparison..go easy im no pete thorn or rockstah,lol..i did these clips with all speakers in the same cabinet mic the exact same spot, same volume, same everything.this is my ash frankenstein clone with a motor city 2nd degree black belt into my boss ge10 into my plexi..the plexi is going to my home made load with line level out to my matrix power am p and finally to speaker cab....which do you like and why??

Nitro,I agree the evh speaker nail his classic sound, my second choice is the pre rola greenbacks!

I purchased a EVH 4X12 cab used 4-5 months ago it was in new condition.I called EVH(Fender) and I wanted to know when the cab was built.I read them the serial# and they explained to me that its a very early cab it was built in Feb 2007.The cabs didnt get released until July 2007,very interesting.Im glad I purchased the cab great punch and clarity very old school Van halen.I sold my Bogner and my VHT 4x12 cabs, I did have a 70s Marshall 4x12 cab that I sold in the early 2000 which I should have kept,I bought that cab in 79 sounded very good.

i own the 2x12 and it is a great cab. Probably the only cab i would play with the 50 watt. regardless if i ever wanted to try different speakers.

The cabinets are solid. Made in Mexico or Southern California, whats the difference? Depends on where you want your hard earned money go.
