Finally getting a little organization, Warning: Amp & Guitar Porn

I'm finally starting to get my shit a bit better organized where most everything is hooked up and ready to play. Also had to leave some space for incoming amps as soon as they're finished. I still want to recover some of the heads, or at least change out the face to suit my tastes. Stealth black is cool and all, but I like to have a little more color. Anyway I snapped a couple of quick pics and thought to share. The empty headshell in the 2nd pic is the one I build for my incoming Iron Horse amp.

Looking at the pics I've just come to realize I have too much gear for someone who mainly plays at home. But fuck it, I enjoy it and play as often as I can. And my wife doesn't give a shit if I crank it up and rattle the windows.

I'd also like to see how some of y'alls setups are arranged (and drool over some of that nice gear I know a few of y'all have).

Btw, wood pallets are dope AF for tuning the walls.

- in the 1st snow of the year and the first time I’ve been in snow in 20+years

The stuff in the fish tank is actually tastefully laid-out IMHO. It's only a few plants and water away from being an attractive aquascape.

I have a cornsnake (Pinky) and a black ratsnake (The Brain) in there. You can kind of see Pinky & Brain is under the log in the center. I'm not exactly sure how old they are since I didn't get them as babies. But I've had both for just shy of 20 years. Their natural habitat around here is pine savanna so I tried to mimic that with the substrate & decour.

The purple/white one in the center is actually a 212/115 that I built recently. It sounds huge. I'm itching to make another one and trying to figure out where I could squeeze it in.

I wouldn't mind if Peavey released an updated version of the Vypyr tube. But even for it's age it's still the best sounding of the series.

Yeah, the red one is the Inferno. The blue one is the Steve Morse & small one is a Metalmaster 20.

Nice! What modules are you rockin in the MTS System?

The 3 in the Head are Jaded Faith mods; JFX (Peavey JSX), R'Verb (Orange Rockerverb) and Wrecked (Trainwreck Liverpool). The ones on the shelf are the Pitbull, IICP, Savage & Powerball Synergy Modules. The Randall ones are a Blackface & SL+. I have plans to get those 2 modded by Rob at some point. I want to do one as a SVP (Ampeg SVT) and haven't decided on the other one yet.

Are those crate amps tubes?

2 of them are. The Blue Voodoo 150 and 300. Much better sounding than the 120 watt version. The Shockwave is SS and pretty much the same circuit as an Ampeg VH140C

Your guitars are not the usual Strat and LP types it seems . And an Engl Steve Morse, I always would have liked to try this amp, with all those mid frequency options. I have a Blackmore and I like it as much as my Friedman, so that makes me curious...

I have 2 of each from the '94/'95 re-release production run. Aside from being my fav shaped guitar it's nostalgia since that's the year I started playing and and IC300 was my first real guitar. The IC300 came only in Black & Jewel Blue for that year. The jewel blue (looks black in the pic) was a limited production run for only that year. The IC350 is the only non-signature Iceman to have a floyd rose, was produced only for that year, and only came in black. My original Iceman from back then was damaged in a flood. So while looking for a replacement from the same year I came across the others. I grabbed them while they were available (and still cheap) since they rarely show up. I've been wanting to get a '94 Iceman bass but the few that have popped up have been way overpriced.

The Morse is an awesome amp and different than the rest of the line. It's more Marshally/plexi sounding and not as compressed as the others. Between the mid knobs and the overall tone shift button you can really dial in the mids exactly how you want on channel 3. It's definitely different enough from your Blackmore that it wouldn't be redundant.
