I always thought that amp was more like a Mojave Peacemaker where you went for power amp gain and mixed in the preamp with it. But with a few more features. Never thought it was supposed to be a bedroom metal amp.

I had that exact amp for a short minute like 4 years ago. Was excited to get the first production Hennings amp in my collection. Traded a VHT D-120 for it and the guy I got the CB from said the volume pot on the VHT I sent was scratchy so we traded back. Let's just say I liked the D120 way better and was glad to get it back. I thought the CB was a beautiful looking and designed amp,but I quickly realized it wasn't for me. My Gutierrez modded 800 is far more brutal and the CB was more rock...and I hate having to use a boost which I'm sure would have brought the CB closer to what I like. But DAMN if the CB wasn't beautiful looking inside and out. He built that amp with love,IMO.

I heard after a torrent romance you and the cherry bomb eloped and had several mini amps together you raised in your gay bungalow.

The CB is indeed a beautiful amp to look at, unfortunately that’s all I liked about it. I couldn’t move that amp quick enough.

There were two versions of the CB. The second version had more gain, it was released after the Bottle Rocket (the Bottle Rocket had more gain so the second design CB had mods to the ROD channel to be more like the Bottle Rocket). I have a Bottle Rocket (just got it), great amp. I have a hard time believing Steve wouldn’t either fix any amp he built or help get it fixed. As far as why he left here, that’s his story to tell, but it’s way more than just other hobbies or whatever.

Steve Henning put some Cameron DNA into his amps; I remember hearing MC was pissed about it. Like Jerry of Surreal; MC wasn’t happy with him either. That said, I did hear nice things about the amp.

Are you sure that's true? IIRC, Steve had problems with his first prototype and got help from MC himself to get it wired and fired up properly along with some pointers.

With that said, who in the flying fuck cares what Mark thinks. Biggest fkn loser in the world to not capitalize on a talent that could've made him a fortune. He made his choices.

The only reason I mention it is many feel Cameron’s sound killer. Therefore the amps built using some of that DNA will also sound killer.
